Yes! Syberia 3 in development.

Most people probably aren't aware of it.

Microids released a press release on...april 1st:

However as expected most people assumed it was an april fools joke, and it was, at least the part of the whole linking between console/pc and such.

However they weren't joking about Syberia 3 being in the works.

Various people who contacted them about it to ask about it being an april fools joke got similar replies as this (from thejust adventure forum):

Ines Pauly, press contact at Microids:

"I am sorry I did not answer earlier, but actually the news about Syberia 3 is not a joke: we will launch the sequel of Kate Walker's adventures for sure. I will deliver further elements next week on this. However, I confess there are elements in our previous communication which were April Fools...

"I hope this clarifies it and you will wait for our next release next week!"

So this week we should have some concrete info and an official annoucment on the game.

I for one can not wait. Syberia I and II are among my favorite adventure games of all time, it just struck a cord with me

If you are an adventure game fan and haven't played them, I highly suggest them.
 
Excellent news. I finally got around to playing both games about 6 months ago, and they didn't disappoint. Good storyline, fun puzzles, and that right amount of difficulty without being frustrating. Hopefully this new game is a bit more polished and not quite as short, as those are my only complaints from the first two games.

Meh... I wish they made Cyberia 3 instead of Syberia 3. :D
 
Hot damn! I didn't even think they we're gonna do another one.

But anyways, great news, both of the Syberia games were awesome. The graphics on those games were great to look at.
 
I need to get into these games, they sound fun. Does steam or D2D have them for download? I am at work so I cant check.
 
I played the 1st one through, actually the only PC game I ever played all the way through. Never played the 2nd though, how is it?
 
The second seemed a little shorter perhaps, but on par with the first...the story continues to be compelling and stirring, IMO.
 
The 2nd one is great, it pretty much finishes out the storyline for the first one so if oyu liked it then you'll love the 2nd one.
 
Well this is happy news! Truly a great adventure game. Hopefully not pooched like the Longest Journey went. Don't get me wrong, I liked the Longest Journey's (Dreamfall) story, just need more puzzle solving/gaming.
