The fan in my HTPC is really starting to get on my nerves. It is fine when movies are going but when its quite it really its loud. I am not in front of it now but i think its a corsair 650, i thought it was a 80mm fan. Any suggestions for a replacement,a way to adjust the speed or dampen the sound?

I think GELID has good 80mm fans. Check what your PSU is first. It will also let us know if it has a temperature-controlled fan.

That makes a lot more sense, as your system doesn't even come close to loading a Corsair HX620!

Since the PSU is controlling the voltage with temperature, you need a fan with a low starting voltage, and that can give a good amount of CFM at full speed at the same time.
