I'm having a little taught time with my pc this morning. I turn it on and it boots up to windows xp sp2 home at 800x600. My monitor is a Viewsonic VA1912wb which native resolution is 1440x900. I had no problems running that resolution since I built the pc 2 months ago. Soo, I tried going to properties and changing it back to 1440x900 and it's not there.

Soo far, I restalled my motherboard drivers and I still get the same result where 1440x900 is not listed. Then I tried installing the monitor drives and it's telling me it has already has a suitable driver for it.

Any ideas anyone? I rather not have to reformat it.. :/

PC specs - ASUS P5KPL-CM 31G chipset, C2D 6400e, 2gigs crosair 667mhz, 320gig WD HD, some DVD reader, 350watt Antec, VA1912wb Viewsonic.

I did it's telling me it already has a better driver for the monitor.

I know, I tried both of them. monitor driver and chipset video driver
