Holy Frick Batman!

A 1680 point WU on a GPU!

This is insane

Edit: I'm taking about 5 min per % or ~6k+ppd on a orig flavor GTX 260.
Wonder what the smaller shader count card will do when they hit these monsters

I pray to pick one of these up as long as they don't EUE. If I could go 12 hours without having to restart my GPU I would be happy as a clam. A couple of these in a row would be sure fire way to do better than 4k ppd.

But wow, that is a huge WU.

i was getting about 5.9k ppd on my 9800gtx+ at 1890 mhz shader.

4.3kppd on a stock gx2 earlier today 9hrs and change.
Double that with two clients and you're looking at 8.6k PPD from one card and a new WU. Not bad, not bad at all.

I'm shocked.

My 9600GSO is pushing a little over 3k with this WU.

OctoBox is folding nothing but these WUs. Output is 35k PPD. During random checks, i've seen nothing but these WUs on all of my clients. No complaints tho.

I gladly picked one of these up. It is the first time in about a month that I woke up and my GPU was still folding (no nans EUE). Hopefully it keeps chugging after this one is done. I was looking at about 6.3k PPD on the GPU.

My results differ from yours. No clue why

How high do you have that 260 cranked?

Also that has to be a 216 flavor.

Just got 2 of these

Ok 4% GPU2 13h 38mn 2818.49 5902 (R7, C868, G3) 1680 points 45mn ago

Ok 42% GPU3 8h 40mn 2678.08 5902 (R4, C768, G5) 1680 points 6h 27mn ago

At stock clocks with the newest nVidia drivers, I was EUE'ing left and right. I've gone back to 178.24 (per others) and I'm rock solid steady again. I'm pulling about 75% 5902's. Red Dragon (3x9800GX2's courtesy of Kendrak & Origami Master) is pulling about 26K PpD :D

My new rig should be up in a few hours. Bringing 3xGTX285 online :D :D If I can get a few of these 5902, I should be ok

What shader clocks are on the 9800gtx+ ? i get nowhere close of that kind of ppd with a shader on 1944..

Min. Time / Frame : 4mn 16s - 5670.00 ppd
Avg. Time / Frame : 4mn 20s - 5582.77 ppd

Shader on the 9800 gtx+'s are 1890 and the gtx 260 is 702mhz with the shader linked (idk what the shader would be)

EDIT those numbers are for the 5900 WU, I suck they're not the same.

Well, back to the usual mix of 384, 420,511, and 1680 pt WU. The flood of 5902's appears to have abated (at least at my house)

Not here, there doesn't seem to be any changes across my 6 clients. Could you check your client configuration and tell us what your client type is? TIA

Just the regular nVidia console client. Running bigbackets and -advmethods.

But now I'm starting to pick up 5903s. 1680 points.Roughly the same speed as the 5902s. I've started picking them up in the last hour or so.

My 8600GT in my home theater box is chunking away around 1200-1300PPD on this WU. Seems that the 8600GT has been getting these for the past few days, though, my 8800GTS has yet to get one...

Client type is also in the client.cfg file. Anyway, maybe it doesn't make a difference with the GPU client.

Same here. They seem to be identical performance-wise to the 5902s.

My avg PPD seems about the same as prior to the 5900's.
I noticed my APC backup is showing a nice drop in wattage useage with the 5900 series wu.

A drop in wattage just before summer is a verry good thing.

That's right from my config file. Didn't see anything about client type in there. Perhaps somewhere else to look?

It probably doesn't make a difference with the GPU client. I was just wondering why some people have reported very few P590x WUs in the past two weeks. It may have something to do with the servers their clients are communicating with.

Yeah, I noticed that. I've worked on NOTHING but the 5902's for the last week or so. Today was the first mix of different stuff (some 5900's etc). Now I'll probably get nothing but 5903s. Still happy with my PPD so I'm not really complaining.

The only downside on my end was a spate of EUEs recently with the 5902s, but that seems to have corrected itself. Probably a bad batch or a bad day.

As soon as I saw that I was qouting 5900 ppd, I got a few 5902's. I have been getting quite a few EUE's I thought it was just due to the fact it needs a spring time cleaning. Guess not.

My WHS box that is running 2, 9800GT cards is currently crunching 2 of the new WU.

It's power consumption dropped from 320 watts to 240 (or so)

I just got one of these on my 8800GTS, and my core GPU temp has dropped from the mid-80C range down to around 60C. I'm pretty pleased with this...

I'm very happy seeing less power/heat from these 5900 series wu so far. :)
It's already warming up here in Cal and these units arrived as I was thinking I'd have to consider turning the AC on.

my 4 GPU box is doing nothing but 5900's right now since yesterday, they don't EUE my system either so this is pretty good!

I love these WU the temps on all my gpus have dropped about 20c and my avg ppd has gone up about 3-5k so good times all around!:D

Well I now have 10 of these running and my temps are actually really good. The GTX285's are under water and I'm at 38 degrees at load. The 9800GX2's at load is running in the mid 60's on air.

lol most be down south or in the valley.. because its still cold as hell here in the bay area..

i may have to start up the gpu client just to see what my 8800GT gets on these WU's..

Here in TX, we didn't have much of a winter. We've already had quite a few days in the 80's. It's supposed to be 83 today and 82 tomorrow. Summer will be here before we know it

I love TX, but damn if it ain't an oven here.

screw that.. lol texas is to hot for me.. ive only been there once.. went to Galveston.. was nice and cool there..

the more of these i get the higher my PPD goes.

im not sure what my gpu average is but i went from 6-7k PPD total to 11-13 and the only difference is my gpu has been crunching almost solely these new ones

and an 8400gs downstairs doing the same. (takes about 1.5 days per WU on the big one so the PPD jump is every other day)

I just got one of these lovelies today, should take about 10 hours to finish. It's dropping temps and pulling less load because it's only working for about half a second and then waiting two seconds before starting again. I have a noisy coil, so I can hear the load.

At first I thought it was a problem with the client, but it's going to complete with results in line with everyone else.
