Newegg has a poll asking, "How important is shipping cost in determining your purchase?" Over 63% have voted for "very important". I hope Newegg is listening!

$84.99 for an HD3870 is pretty damn awful when you can get an HD4830 for almost the same price. Needless to say, the 4830 utterly destroys it in every way possible.

And don't forget to sign up for the TV a Day giveaway.:p

Canadian residents will be required to correctly answer a time-limited skill testing question in order to claim a prize.

WTF? I am not Canadian but this seems odd.

Seriously? Wow. "Sorry, you fails. No TV for you. So close though, Aye?"

Is it just me to find it odd that only one winner has been announced so far fro the prizes on the see if you won link?

Dear Newegg,

Just a heads up. Corsair is coming out with a new full-tower case likely in May. A nice deal on that for [H] members would be AWESOME!!

Thanks!

It's because in Canada it is illegal to sell chances to win a prize. However, winning prizes for "Games of skill" is perfectly legal. Answering the "skill testing question" is considered a game of skill and legal..

Here is a good read..

I think the real reason is because they knew if they asked an American the question they would get it wrong so they just don't try.. Hahaha.. I kid.. I kid.. :p

Thanks!!

I still vote for having mandatory free shipping on alleged [H]ot deals from Newegg. Thanks. :)

I could understand the sell part but it didn't cost anything to enter. interesting about the reasoning though, thanks. I will read that link later.

It looks like a math quiz that requires 4 operations will suffice. I'd like to a company offering such a contest offer the following challenge question: "What is 0+0+0+0+0?"

Looks like newegg is having trouble keeping 4GB sticks of RAM in stock... considering these are high priced items I would have expected newegg to keep at least one in stock.
