Well my PI Blacks are decently warm to the touch. Which is making me wonder, Since the Corsair Doms ram fan fits it, Would it fit my PI Blacks?

From the looks of it, seems like it will, The Doms actually look a bit taller since it has some sort of golden extension for its heatsinks.

I just wanna get the ''With room to spare'' comments before i pull the trigger.

Unless you really need it cause you are overvolting the RAM significantly you may want to consider that adding the fan box may reduce airflow around your CPU socket when it isn't really even necessary in the first place. I mean,. it's supposed to be warm :p

Dunno, don't mean to crap on your thread but I'd probably just let it be.

The fan should fit as it clips onto the MOBO memory retention clips and is made to clear our DHX coolers. Also, if you have decent airflow in your case, this should not effect the airflow around your CPU to any meaningful amount.

If you want to measure your memory, measure the height of the heatsink. Don't worry about measuring from the bottom portion of the PCB that inserts into the memory slot as that won't affect the fit. Just measure the height of the heat sink itself and let me know. I'll measure a fan and compare your measurements to the Dominators and verify the fit for you.

Just for grins I put the Dominator DDR2 fan on my Dominator DDR3 modules and it fit just fine.

I have triple channel so it wasn't wide enough, but it did fit just fine. I don't use it because the modules don't get that hot.

Sorry for not updating yall, but the same day i was wondering about it, my Coolermaster v10 arrived, so problem solved, i did indeed have to mod my case a bit so it can fit though :(

I had the fan on mine for about two weeks and it started to make a rattle noise. So it off.

I wonder if there are actually any test out there that prove, its more than just a novelty/marketing thing.
