Galaxy 9800GT $84.99 after $30 MIR

Finally an nvidia card that has an agreeable price/performance ratio.

Too bad it's a Galaxy

I think Glaxy went to a 2 year warranty after [H] commented on it, but i dunno 100%.
Nothing wrong with Galaxy cards.
Thanks for the deal Shane, funny thing is I was not but 5 minutes ago thinking about what happened to the Galaxy reps/deals alogn with BenQ..

Even better: sites says 2 rebates per person! Can you smell the SLI'age?

170 for SLI, nice deal
Wish i could find the chart that showed what 9800gt sli was comparable to.

The 260 (55nm core 216) or 4870 1GB
perform a little worse than 9800/8800GTs in SLi

But as we all know 1 great card > 2 good cards ;)

don't forget live cashback. 10% at the moment.

also, it's a double slot in case that matters to anyone.

I bought the 9800GTX+ Galaxy card since it has a smaller PCB than the reference design. Works great for me.

hmmm
2 of this for SLI @ $84.99 each
or
2 of the XFX 9800GT for SLI @ 99.99 each

I wonder if XFX is worth the $15 premium..

i would have bought one if it was instant rebate... not waiting around for that mail-in crap lol.

Hmmmmm.... appreciate the deal Shane. Tempting for a physx/cuda card to go with my 9800gtx+

Me too; you guys need to start doing the instant rebate thing a lot more instead of the crappy mail in rebate thing.

I doubt they make enough margin on that card to be able to afford doing the $30 instantly. They have to bank on some people not sending them in as projected margin to make up at least a little for ones that do.

Now an exclusive IR for [H] ... that would convert a lot of people over to Galaxy in a hurry. And if the cards perform well and hold up for the long haul they will get lots of future business.

That's exactly right, there will always be people forgetting/not caring about the rebate that's how they manage to get away with it
