ATX 背面接有 PS2 x 1 , USB x 6 , 1394A x 1 , eSATA x 1 , LAN x 1 , Audio , 還有 EZ Clear CMOS

-Interesting also is the gold-plated audio jacks - this should shut the hell up some of them sound card whoreshippers.
-Scroll down to see a fkin' V10 sit on it. Looks like a fucking bobble head.
-NB heatsink is pretty low - good thing since the DFI's ginormous NB causes compatibility problems.

So I didn't dream it: there is a Firewire and a eSata. Hmm... a fully featured X58 mATX: what more can we ask for?
I have a feeling they'll charge an arm and a leg for it. But it might still be worth it.

And arm and a leg for eSATA and firewire isn't what a lot of people would vouch for. Let's hope it's priced beside the DFI, which may cause DFI to sink a bit in price.

I think an arm and a leg is for eSATA, Firewire and X-Fi audio... (not that I care, mind you)

I for one could give a shit less about those 3 features.. server check, non-mac crap check, non-audiophilic ears check :D

And here's the big whammy.. maybe should start a thread on it ;)

Yes it's size 7 worthy you would-be QQers.
MB:ASUS RAMPAGE II GEN --NT 8000
8,000.00 TWD

=

231.087 USD

Hell fucking yes? Sing it wit me "I jizzed in mah pants".

except you miss the part where the reviewer says "此片R II G如果定價在8000以下將會帶給消費者不錯選擇!!" right above that that list of price for his recommended system

which means "if the R II G is priced at NT 8000 or below level it will be a good choice for consumers".

so I don't know if the reviewer has that price confirmed yet. If the price is true I'm so getting one

Got overly excited. Who has the time for words when so many juicy pics are on it?

That's like saying if EVGA released a mATX board it would have to be 400 cuz the Classified would be some insane number. This board is more reminiscent of the P6T. ASUS won't price it at that retarded number if they want to compete with the DFI/want to make money. There's no doubt a lot of enthusiasm for this board and it's doubtful ASUS will want to let go of the hopefuls. Unless they're trying to pull a Samsung-like "World's first overpriced board".

hahah that would be kool if EVGA does release a mATX board
and i would like this board also provide us a XFire bridge as well
just for the heck of it lol
but thanks for the link! really makes me wanna go into 1366 now XD

those pics.......

im speechless... and drooling... and....ughgughhgughg... i want on now!!

I was all psyched about this board until I realized that it doesn't have a connector for my floppy drive, j/k.
That V10 does dwarf the entire board. Imagine what it would like like with 8800Ultra in SLI and the V10...

Not that you'd be able to fit a V10 into more than a couple of SFF cases :)

That would be difficult because this one hasn't hit the shelves. So much for February!

Through software only; the audio chip used is an ADA design.

Even then, it's really no biggie, since today's CPUs (and especially the Core i7) are so powerful that they take a negligible performance hit from any clock cycles the onboard audio eats up.

That's not his point. We're talking hardware not software- The audio is not hardware X-fi, not that I give one shit.

Where'd you get that enlightened date from..? 1st page ;)?

Software-based sound uses the CPU to process audio rendering. I thought that was the point.

It really doesn't matter to me when it comes out--as long as it gets here before my tax rebate. :D

You missed the point .. again. Ppl are getting excited about [lol, sucked into the marketing] Xfi. "True" Xfi as they call it is hardware, CrimandEvil is pointing out this is software based, meaning not "true" Xfi.

But this is still better than Reatek High Def onboard ALC88n right?

Thats what I'm wondering. Hopefully we'll get a release of the mobo soon and find out just how good it really is compared to whats already availble.

it is the realtek chip, jyst creative make a bolt on driver that allows it to output CPU synthesized X-Fi effects through the audio PHY.

Wow ppl, learn to fcking read. Crimand has stated twice already this is an ADA audio chip.

ASUS website has finally released the R2G on its website on the 24th!
is that hinting that us that it will hit the shelf this week? as march has just began!
and still crossing finger that it will price around the DFI one!

We'll find out soon enough, perhaps hopefully tmrw! Got a tab homed in on mobopro, just need it to appear now. For a reasonable price of course; no way I'm paying ATX Rampage prices for something that has a competitor for $230.

So that's ~$15 premium over the DFI. Reasonable, now if mobopro will put it up.

sorry for the error, but i don't care whether its ADA/realtek or anybody else, i'm just trying to point out that it ain't an X-Fi chip which some people believe.

It's starting to show up here in Sweden too for pre-order (not a particularly relevant market I must admit). But the difference in price with the DFI is a bit higher. More like $25 or so. But the Asus will be available in quite a few places whereas the DFI is only available at 1 decent online retailer. So my guess is that the price gap will narrow quickly.
