These things hit 1000 mem and 700 core no problem.

It's basicly a 4850 with 640 (instead of 800) streams
And it's underclocked at 575 (instead of 4850's 675) but it overclocks better than a 4850!



This is at least 9800GT performance

and even:
Two, three or four HD 4830 cards can be combined in CrossFire to improve performance or image quality. You can also combine the HD 4830 with the HD 4850 (I tested it), but then the HD 4850 will be slowed down to match the speed of the HD 4830.

dang. This is a phenomenal price for a great card!
I might have to pick up another for the spare box.
 
Wow great price. This seems far more impressive than the Sapphire 4830 that's been on sale recently. All solid caps, copper heatsinks, HDMI output, and a decently quiet fan. Maybe we'll see a promo code for free shipping pop up to sweeten the deal :)
 
darn..i just bought a 9500gt 1gb for 60 after rebate today, i wonder if i should get this instead
 
It rates in the middle of the performance chart. It's a nice bang for the buck card and it seems to be a pretty good deal, especially if you get 2 or even if you use it on alt computers

Awesome, my friends 7900GT just died, so if we can't get it fixed (looks like a capacitor fell off) then we'll probably buy this... :)
 
No, this card is just slightly faster than a 9800GT, so at best it'd just be a sidegrade and more likely a downgrade.

If you can get the rebate, this would kick the pants off of the 9600GT in terms of value though .
 
I just wish they'd get their stream processing tools on par with CUDA.
If they had a drop in Matlab package I'd be all over ATI like a dirty shirt right now... :(

I hope you didnt buy that for gaming and I also hope you dont think that 1gb of ram on woefully slow card will actually help.
 
I love the 4830, it's the best card for the price in my opinion. Overclocks very well and doesn't hog power.

i didnt buy for gaming..but for only a few bux more to get a card with hdmi and good power!
id be stupid not to get it

like someone mentioned, it would be more of a side grade.

have the same card and am waiting for at least possibly 5000/300 series card before I consider anything a worthwhile upgrade.
