Games we wish existed.

A huge counter-strike mmo with the gore of Soldier of Fortune, spiced up with some of that realistic physics we've seen lately. I wouldnt leave my seat ever:D

yeah I'd see the 14yr boys ordering this one. Especially if it came in a Wii v with appropriate "Wiimote"

A GOOD successor to MechWarrior 3 would be nice. MechWarrior 4 ruined the series, and I wish it could be restored. They dumbed it down for youngsters, and ruined it for fans. Give the mech lab back!

They sort of used to have such a thing, actually. I'm blanking on the name, but Microsoft did in fact release a racing game that was more urban driving simulator than it was a racing sim. This was years ago though.

The original Test Drive?

I'll have to vote for AvP 3...Such a great game AvP 2 was. We really need 3...

I want scarlett johanssen game for PC with those 3D glasses from nvidia, I would buy a new TV for that...

Birds of Prey with modern graphics.
Eagle's Nest as FPS.
a Solar Winds remake with modern graphics, 3D, etc.
Privateer 2 (or 3?)

Other than that, most of the modern games would be significantly improved by having a better AI.
Hyped up AIs like in the latest Clancy franchise games or FEAR fell far afar afar short of tryly dynamic AIs.

The single largest problem in non-MMO gaming today is that once you learn how the AI responds you get bored with the game. Fix that, and gaming will be divine.

Doom vs Quake - strogg summon demons and use them to make strogg the whole thing goes to shit when u invade and tada demons vs strogg vs man

Half-Life Wars = 64 players + vehicles + combine / rebels + giant maps, what could possibly go wrong?

System Shock 3

Need for Speed: Back to the good ol' days
Simcity 5 (with a 3D U-Drive-it, like Simcopter and Streets were to SC2K)
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory 2 (Double Agent ruined the series for me)

Alien Vs Predator 3

+1

Deus Ex, rendered in the Source Engine.

Yep DE is definately worth remaking verbatim - the U3 engine would have been the logical choice, since the original was in the Unreal1 engine, but now the latest-greatest would have to be in Rage or maybe Cryengine2 - i'm willing to wait 'till the U4 engine to see this one done truely right.

also need:
Rune 2 (brutal hack&slash ftw! \m/ )
Battlezone 3 (BZ2 is still the greatest RTS of all time, imo; or at least the only playable FP-RTS)
No One Lives Forever 3 (just since no one has mentioned this yet. we're all tired of FEAR - need more comic shooters!)

yea... a new Deus Ex woulda been great.....

we need a good followup to the original, that does what a sequel is supposed to do: improve on the original

DE2 was so bad, I don't see how they can recover from that to make any more sequels. A prequel might work if it was done right, but I still say a complete re-make of the original, keeping all game-mechanics and rpg-elements identical (the sound from the original wouldn't even need much work) but re-working the graphics would be a complete win.

Yeah, new Carmageddon or Road Rash or...

Mech Commander + World in Conflict combo.

A proper Star Control 3 would be nice...

A well thought-out, and properly implemented System Shock 3 would be nice. This style of play is becoming a bit more prevalent though, so that's at least a start.

A new Syndicate game... (I believe I heard that this was happening at one point, but can't remember who's doing it, or when it might happen.)

I agree with many already mentioned here:
AVP 3
Heavy Gear 3 (mecha/gear combat with striders this time, mechwarrior sucks compared to heavy gear)
Impossible Creatures 2 (more animals to work with, modern graphics)

An arena combat game with highly customizable weapons, armor, mobility systems, etc. Not just generic weapons, but one where you get to design your stats down to the rate of fire, bullet type (penetration vs. accuracy vs. damage) , types of armor and how much goes where, jet packs, force feilds... missile pods, rocket launchers, smoke screens, ECM, EMP bombs, EM rifles, 12 types of nades (smoke, napalm, stun, flash, AP, concussive, EMP...), flame throwers that throw liquid napalm (not puffs of fire) that you can throw down on the ground and objects to burn, scopes, targeting lasers, tag sytems, plasma cannons, etc... you name it... its in there. It could even be done silly style like with worms or psychotic bouncing balls with arms and legs... dont care... but I want a FPS where I can design my own weapons as part of the actual game.

A C&C style or other RTS with units that you design from the ground up, alot like impossible creatures or spore... but with a tactical design element. You design your army on your own first, and then you take them to battle. If I want a cheap level 1 jet fighter that can cloak and bomb light vehicles... so be it. If I want a flying hover fortress with EM cannons, napalm bombs, and can airdrop tanks... so be it.

Games I personally wish existed:
1. A finished Sonic Xtreme, for the saturn. could simply run on the pc with ssf.
2. A compilation of the "lost" RE4's. gamecube is dead, so they could be compiled for the pc.
3. Metroid 5 for the gamecube; 2D (preferrably done by intelligent systems)
4. A part 2D part 2.5D Super Metroid remake for the gamecube (done by intelligent systems; released the same day as Metroid 5 (#3) just like Metroid Prime was released the same wonderful day, 11/18/20-02, as Metroid 4 aka Metroid Fusion)
5. a new entry in the Oasis series, but only if done by Ancient/Yuzo Koshiro. at least 25 GB in size.
6. Lost Vikings 3 (2D)
7. A remake of Turok done by the original team.
8. a sequel to Sonic CD done by a complete reunion of the original team (thst does not include spencer nielsen.) new music of course, but lossless like the 1993 sega cd original (i believe the lead went to artoon to do blinx 1 and 2, and then left there. I forgot where he went after that.)
9. a castlevania that takes place in 1999 as julius belmont. story intensive due to the fact that a lot of questions are unanswered and the fact that dracula somehow loses his eternal life. As good as SotN; a castlevania in the late 1800's, as was hinted at in bloodlines' manual with the main character (i.e. quincy morris, john morris's father) dying at the end, "fighting evil."
10. a completed Castlevania Resurrection. would have to be on the pc since that could emulate the dc the best.

1,2,5,6,9 are possible. 8 would never happen, but is technically possible; 9 is the most likely to happen, although the one in 1999 possibly not as I invision it. the others aren't. The US Konami team folded when Castlevania Resurrection was cancelled. Iguana is no longer (so no Turok remake by them), and the Gamecube is dead. I wish nintendo had kept the ncube alive with 2D games. It would've, could've, and should've been perfect for high-tech 2D games.

New Mechwarrior (Based on the first game where you did random missions as a mercenary and built up your squad, and earned cash to buy new mechs. Minus the text adventure story line)

Soldier of Fortune 3 (I'll say it again, Payback does not count!)

UFO: Enemy Unknown.. And ffs make it a decent, faithful remake with upgraded graphics unlike all of the shit clones we have seen over the past years.

Carmageddon, Another remake of the first, which was the best in the series.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and a new Syndicate and a new MAGIC CARPET game...

AND.... DUNGEON KEEPER 3

AvP 3
System Shock 3 (SS was better than Deus Ex by a wide margin!)

The game I'd most love to see would be an FPS/RPG something like Oblivion is, but set Sci-Fi thriller like System Shock 2. Completely open ended, skills improved either by leveling up (exp from killing stuff) or improved through use rather than through collecting a fairly limited quantity of something. Might even throw in some simple space flight-sim combat when traveling from one area to another, as long as it is done right. Just like the Elder Scrolls series, could have a main quest line that would advance the story, but provide plenty of other things to do instead if one chose. Abandoned stations/ships, etc.
