Agree with all of this. The first FEAR was ok for the first few levels of the game until it became "Office Shoot'em Up Simulator 2006". I got bored and just rushed to the end (which was lame IMO). I haven't played any of the expansions and looks like I won't be playing FEAR 2 unless I can get it super cheap...like $5 or something.

The "explosion" was the cheesiest thing I've ever seen... but beyond that I loved FEAR. I can't wait for FEAR 2, but I'm still torn between that game and Fallout 3. I only have time (and money, lol) for one of them.
 
Most screenshots don't do justice to actual in-game gameplay. I think a lot of those shots look pale is because there is said to be more volumetric particle effects like dust and smoke and such. One of the dev's explains it here http://www.projectorigincommunity.com/Engine
I personally am looking forward to it, and can safely assume that I won't be let down. Multiplayer seems quite good imo.
 
Remember how everyone bashed the first FEAR based on it's screenshots?
FEAR is one of those games that needs to be seen in action..FEAR 2 is the same I guess.
 
Pretty sure it will run decent on 1680x.

The game to me looks like a decent upgrade from the original graphic wise, so im sure it will perform well.
 
it looks like its going to be good. Hopefully they really learned from their mistakes with the horrible expansions
 
And Extraction Point wasn't horrible. It was pretty faithful to the source, I thought, and a damn lot of fun.
 
I loved the first one but these screenshots made me lose all enthusiasm I had for this...
Back to Fallout for me!
 
tried the demo, and it seem to have way better graphic then the posted SS.....

huh.....

but I am encountering with some weird stutter, it seem like texture is loading or something...not quite sure
 
Yes I played the demo and I'm getting this game for sure, its quite impressive looking and playing. But yes, I too noticed the stutter, every couple of minutes for a second the video freezes. It's not a horrible experience but its definitely a little annoying.
 
Played demo on my pc, seems to be running fine, no stuttering. Damn the game looks scary when its dark lol
 
Well some of us do get the stutter and other don't. Are we to assume that is VC drivers?
 
I'm looking forward to getting this game! Too bad trying to find PC games is very hard now a days.. everyone is pulling PC games out. EB Games in my local mall has reduced it's PC selection to almost nothing. Game Shop has also dropped its PC selection down.

The same applied to the original FEAR, people hated the screenshots...but got very quiet about their stance after playing the actual game ;)
 
that guy does a bunch of joke videos like that.
he had another "zombie bukake" that is funny too, but mostly pretty fruity.

I played the short demo, looks like another fun trip to me!
