games from elementry school

Ecoquest 1 and 2, Island of Dr. Brain, Gizmos and Gadgets, Jazz Jackrabbit, Civilization, Oregon Trail and MS-DOS gorillas. Couple other educational ones I can't remember...

I remember playing Adventures in Math. You had to solve problems to move to different rooms in a castle or something like that. I did a quick google search and it looks like it came out around 1983 haha.

7 cities of gold. Die you savages die! Ha ha, cultural hegemony and manifest destiny ftw.

I know it's not a game but... KID PIX. Plenty of good hours wasted with that.

Other than that, our school had Oregon Trail, Sim City, and Dino Park Tycoon. Good times.

I'm more recent, but I remember Oregon Trail and Odell Down Under. I learned to type with "Type to Learn"

Newer generation here,
mario 64
ocarina of time
mario party
madden
donkey kong 64
mario kart
I also had a playstation but i only played tekken and mgs1

Anyone remember the name of the game that had a dinosaur running around killing other dinosaurs?, it was on the first imacs....cant remember the name

This wasn't played in school, but I've got to mention it anyway:

Mortal Kombat

Commander Keen
Reader Rabbit
Putt Putt goes to the Moon

Ski Free

To name just a few

Anyone remember Club Kidsoft?

EDIT:

Thought of a few more!

Space Quest (I loved the 6th one)
Incredible Machine
Cyberia (I only had Cyberia 2)

On the old Apple Macintosh Performas, iMacs, and Quadras (I think) in private school:

Simcity 2000
Midnight Rescue
Number Munchers
Pipe Dream
DinoPark Tycoon
Gizmos and Gadgets
A submarine game that involved math problems (forgot which name)
Math Blaster
Oregon Trail

On the old Windows PCs in public school:
Solitaire
Minesweeper
FreeCell
MSPaint?

I have more fond memories of the computers at the private school...

that was one of my favorite games! i can't quite place the name though. You went around as a raptor with a jetpack collecting dino eggs while killing other dinosaurs.

there was also this game where u were a bug and u collected these gems and opened gates for other bugs, that one was really fun too

YES! Thats the one! Does anyone know the name of this game? i really wanna play it again :)

I remember playing the following PC games when I was in elementary school:
Ultima Underworld
Ultima 7
Ultima 4
Doom
Myst
Shadowcaster

When I was in sixth grade, my class (of 1991) was the first to get to use our school's new computer laboratory. It was chock-full of Apple IIc computers with green monochrome displays. Many teachers received a IIc for their classrooms with an RGB display.

I distinctly remember doing the Logo thing that was mentioned earlier in the thread, but my favorite game of all was Chivalry.

I loved it in monochrome but on the rare occasion I got to play it on a color display and was in HEAVEN.

Man, things were so much simpler then. Good thread...

Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

Great game for a 9 year old. You get clues, fly around, and the best part is you never fucking win!
