[H] reader gdonovan sent me a link to this hilarious parody video yesterday and I had to post it so you guys can see it too. The video is very well made, so good in fact that you’d think it was a real news report if it wasn’t so absolutely absurd.

oy vey

I hope they didn't give Apple any ideas lol

Probably the Stupidest Apple Device I've ever seen, Come on Apple, Only takes 45 Minutes to type one Email. ROFLMAO

Brilliant!!! I just pre-ordered my MacBook Wheel from Amazon. I'm 3597th in line!!!

"It remains to be seen if the Wheel will catch on in the business world where people use computers for actual work and not just dicking around."

My favorite line from the video.

The funniest thing I've seen today. Indeed, I am JEALouz of people who buy the Macbook Wheel.

The best part was when the guy goes "I never realized how much I hate keyboards" that pretty much defines how your typical apple fanatic rationalizes.

"It's virtually indestructible unless dropped or hit"

Great parody, sums up apple pretty well.

LOL Nice parody. Almost believed it at first until I saw the link was from The Onion. :p

What's sad is that this isn't all that far from believable, but fortunately I think that even Apple couldn't quite get away with this.

Yet.

Go read the techcrunch comments about the video, people ARE believing its real.

when i first saw this on digg i didnt realize it was onion... i swear to god i thought this was real until i heard "only few hundred clicks away" once i realized it was the notorious onion, i was actually surprised. they outdid themselves on this one!

what makes it so believable was the photos of the actual laptop. it didnt even cross my mind that apple would never do something like this. that trackpad without a keyboard laptop is totally apple. i wouldnt be surprised if apple ironically produces a model just like this one...

"You can also let the predicitve sentence technology complete the sentence for you:"

'The agile aardvark bathed with beauties.'
'The agriculture was cultivated by the coral.'
'The Althusserian scholar gave his copy of Lacan's "Ecrits" to the abortion doctor.'
