Why am I not posting on the official forums?
well, Because I have, Not only that but I've spent a few hours today searching through pages and pages of topics about my exact issue only to find dead ends on pretty much most of the threads. Although I have attempted, and succesfully tried some of the suggestions, Nothing hits the spot.

Heres the Deal, nuendo 3.22 -- Latest X-fi drivers, Xfi Elite Pro, XP SP3 quad core Xeon 3.3Ghz, yadda yadda yadda.
I am a guitarist, I love playing through my DI into Revalver III or some other guitar sim, At 1MS Asio Latency, no cracks, no pops!

well, I got bored of just playing like that and I wanted to learn more. Got the software, It was a nightmare at first, what a learning curve.

I ended up eventually getting a copy of Ezdrummer, esentially a program that lays drums out for you. I ended up producing 6 or 7 songs by myself with bass, Guitar, synth and drums.

The way I did things back then was very standard. I recorded my drumtrack, I played bass guitar to it real time (With X-fi recorder set to the specific Line in, No overlapping occurs... cause it doesnt touch the "What you Hear" or Standard ASIO bus) And did the same for a guitar track.

vocals too, No problemo. Fast forward to today...=

Recently purchased a copy of Absynth4, because I eventually want to get a Midi controller to add ambience and texture to my metal recordings. i wanted to learn how to use the program basically, Before going to buy a Midi controller.

Where I am stuck at.... is the following situation, Hopefully one or two of you is still following me.

I lay down a drum, and a bass line without issue - I want to play some real time synth to it, The synth won't actually monitor or record unless you have "Front Asio In, or Windows Record L+R" as your Input device, Even though it will "Feedback" with other settings. So, the drums, which run off that same sound bus....... Basically overlap into my Synth track when I am trying to add patches to various parts of my songs.

This makes it impossible to add variations of different tracks using different Pads...

I tried learning the whole "FX Tracks, Group Tracks, and sends to Control Room", suposidly theres a way you can HEAR something that has already been recorded and mixed, without it affecting your sound signal for something you are recording.

I have tried every little setting,
On the sound card, In nuendo, In VST Connections, In routing, I have researched, I have sweat blood and swallowed pure agony trying to resolve this simple Issue. I know the easiest way out would be buying an interface, or a RME or recording sound card, which might not have as much trouble.... but I also know there has got to be a way to do this!!

Does anyone have any insight to offer on this? I really would appreciate it!

Sincerely,

cide

Here is some more information that I have deemed nessisary to be added to this post...

I am using Absynth as VST Instrument Plugin. I have also, and more frequently attempted to use it as a Track Insert Effects plugin. I have tried using it as a MIDI Plugin, But it doesn't work right for me. This is because I don't have a MIDI Controller to add the notes. Is there a way to send certain VST Instruments direct to a track without anything else? well, Anyway, Read on. I don't think thats the answer for this problem anyways.

Now, Why I reference Absynth is because it is the reason I am going through this effort to find an answer, but it is not the "Sole" problem.

For example: Any track that I record, That sits in an audio track, That I use to keep timing and record with... WILL interfere with anything that needs to be recorded in the "What You Hear" or "Main ASIO Bus".

For example: Drums sit on Track one. I record bass to track two, There is no overlapping or conjoining of tracks. I want to add some Synplant, or Absynth or Massive or something that does not run through a Physical Connection... Something that I cant specify a "Line Input" for in the Creative Control Panel.... Anything like this, Will overlap with whatever is playing back from the tracking listed above, As I try and record real time.

This is extremely annoying, As it basically invalidates any use of my computer and DAW software besides basic things like Drums, Bass, Guitar, Guitar-Quasi Synth effects... Etc etc.

Now, I know this may be a basic setting or method of doing things in Cubase/Nuendo itself, But it may also be a creative labs problem. For example: I set my recorder in the Audio Creation console to anything other than "What You Hear" as a troubleshooting step... Now, when monitoring my tracks that sit on the Main ASIO Mix/Bus, I no longer have interferance on something that is Set to Input that same bus. But then, It won't capture sound from something like Absynth.

It's extremely annoying, And I thought I had it figured out after seeing the Bass/Drums tracks flashing on their own, Direct to Control Room, without interfering on the track for the Synth, But I did this all remotely while at work, When I got home, The bass/Guitar wasn't actually audible, It was just working "Internally" somehow but not actually outputting the sound I need. When I adjusted settings in the Control Room/Monitor mix, Attemping to use the feature called "Listen" on said Bass/'Drum track -- It became audible but then again, started to interfere on my Synth Monitoring track, That sits on the main ASIO bus, that needs to be monitored for recording particular programs like this.

Unless there is a way to specify VST Instruments to goto a specific internal sound bus such as Line In, ETC, I see no way of getting past this problem without Voodoo knowledge or some sincere assistance from the masters in this forum.

I appreciate the time in reading this,
And a big huge thanks in advance for any help that may manifest from this.

I had huge motivation to do things music wise, and brush up on music theory, even take some technical training but until I solve this issue nothing is apealing to me right now, I'm a picky angel. Haha.
