RED makes obsolescence obsolite wit Scarlet and EPIC

Anyone here getting one? Out of my range and abilities, but I'd love to see an [H]'er review.

Count me in as an interested party. Way outside my budget but very awesome at first look.

Autofocus is a no-no for pro-video and film production.

Yeah Im waiting on the UPS guy to bring mine in. :D
Actually what Im waiting for is the use of black silicon wafers for photograpic equipment. http://www.sionyx.com/mslns/Technew.jpg a mirco pic of the stuff. It is said to be 100to 500 times more sensitive to light. The theoretical high ISO would be 250,000. Now having a camera with that capability would be sweet.

No, never. But here's the thing. You probably will never see this hit the market. It's all 3D images, and if you read their forums a little you will find LOTS of problems with their currently shipping products.

We'll just file that one away for claim chowder later. Personally I wouldn't bet against someone with the conviction, funding and vision of Jim Jannard. Are there going to be growing pains? Of course. It's always the pioneers who are risking arrows in their backs. So far tho this guy has come through with all of his promises...

BTW, Knowing opened up this weekend, first feature film shot entirely on a Red.
