^ CLASSIC! +1 for self study, can't ever be bothered to get to class.. what an inconvenience even though it's 5 minutes walk from my place.

Here is my playroom in progress. Just never stops. I am uploading pictures of the building the room a little as a time. Newest addition, (not yet pictured) is a Synology DS-408 with 4.5TB of HDD space. Volume is still creating.

That's a pretty awesome room you have the waja!
How do you like that new Lian Li case? I was looking at getting one.

Thanks!
I like the new Lian Li case. A lot. It's just roomy enough to get the job done. I did improve the air flow by replacing the rear fan and adding another fan in the center bay. The GTX 280 puts out a fair amount of heat.

Next pic is literally the "network closet" where I have any other spare hardware setup for experimenting with networking, security, pen-testing, trying different Linux distros, IDS, SSH & FTP servers, etc.

Quote from your gallery..
"The computer room is under the garage. The supports will stay where they are."

So you mean there is a car parked above your head?

Well, if it says it is underneath a garage, the logical conclusion would be that you park cars in a garage, thus a car would be parked above his head.

so it is PROBABLY in his basement, which makes sense since their are no windows in that picture.

How is a car above you any diff than having a room in the basement and having a story or 2 on top of you?

Of course not!! There are two motorcycles above my head. The car is above the wife's head. :p

Sort of. The house is on a hillside. Main floor is upstairs. There is a second floor downstairs. At the front of the garage, the ground was about 5 foot down from a retaining wall. At the back of the garage, it was about 10 foot down to the dirt. I dug out some of the dirt to get a 9 foot by 20 foot area. In the backside center picture, you can see the door on the right that leads outside. Step outside and you are 8ft above the ground.

^ theres always something about NEC monitors that makes it look hot for dual, tri, quad setups

2000-4000 lbs. of steel parked on wooden joists.
I don't know the building code in his area but I'm sure everything passed on inspection.

In that case you have nothing to worry about. ;)

Wow, that is quite the undertaking, literally!! Great job man, especially rewiring, that is a task in its self, where is your house? East coast? My brother has the old knob and tube style, we did the ground change and rewired it all and replaced the slat with drywall, don't want to do that again anytime soon.

Ahh I got ya, my Aunt's house in Colorado is very similar to that.

By the way I love the house. :D

specifically the 1st generation g15, the newer one doesn't have a hinge on the screen and only 6 macro buttons (with interchangeable sets/modes) where as the old one has 18 keys right there ready to go.

I'm actually in California. House was built in the late 50s. This was my first encounter with knob and tube. But that is not the worst of this house. 200+ feet of orangeburg pipe was the biggest nightmare.

a dark shot.. will upload more of the desk and so on in the next day or so..

Wow. Its so simple, yet elegant. I love it. 1 screen, everything matches color wise. Totally awesome man! Keep up the good work!

There are times where i wish i could have a simple setup like that.. but thats not me *sighs* owell :D
