Anyone have the new revision of the WD10EACS? (00D6B0)

The new 3 platter one is tricking in and replacing the old 4 platter ones.

The new WD10EADS has also been announced, which has a 32MB cache and is 3 platter, but is more pricey!

Since they will go in a RAID-5 array (with TLER changed of course) for network storage, I don't need the fancy 32MB one.

So, anyone buy these drives recently and get the new 3 platter one?

I just want to save a little bit on electricity and have some newer drives basically.

i got 2 coming from zzf soon, I'll post which revision i got

About 3 months ago I ordered 3 of these from ZZF. 1 died and I RMA'd it.

My 2 remaining drives from the original order are the new style. The RMA drive I got in was 1 of the older drives.

I have 5 of these drives as well as the older 4 platter wd gp. Seems to work the same, but is a little lighter.

just got 2 from zzf, both are 00D6B0
