Pure load times so long?

So I am running the system in my sig. This game takes forever to load sometimes and sometimes just hangs when loading a race or whatever. But it will just have the loading screen and where its supposed to say loading it doesnt say it. but everything else is moving so its not like its locked up. Idk what the heck. anyone else have probs with this game?
anyone know of any fixes or patches for it?
 
at the load screen press ALT+ESC then ALT+TAB, there is a bug in the animation/loading screen.

edit: let me know if it works, i heard on another forum it does though. i don't want to buy the game until this is fixed
 
Yeah, its too bad the game is plagued by this "bug". It seems to be a huge amount of fun though. Hopefully they will fix it soon.
 
Even the demo is like this. How could it be released with a bug this annoying???
 
Alt tabbing doesn't do much either. I've been waiting at least 5-7 minutes for the screen to go past here:

EDIT: 15 minutes later and it still didn't load. Suck!

that screen is actually a bug, it should have more graphics on it like 'Loading'.

ive had that happen a couple times you have to kill the process and then try again.

the alt-esc alt-tab thing works, i bring up task manager so you can see how much the cpu is being used by pure.exe. it goes up to 90+ and then drops to 50, then you know its loaded and you can alt-tab back into the game.

sometimes the alt-tabbing crashes the game as well.. but once you are playing wow wee too much fun.
 
Im gona have to try that, but what a pain in the ass. How could a producer release a game with bugs like that. The game is pretty fun when it works. somewhat slow paced but its not bad for a disney game.
 
Thanks desrin, it seems the 2nd day I tried this game, I did see the loading screen up in the top right. And the game rocks!
 
I have the same issue. I am using Vista Ultimate. I didn't find the Alt Esc + Alt Tab method to work for me. I found when the load screen starts hit the Windows button, between Ctrl and Alt on my keyboard. I use CTL + Shift + Esc to bring up task manager. While loading the CPU usage will be maxed, after it drops select the PURE window from your task bar. It does not work 100% of the time but close so far. A patch is hopefully forthcoming.
 
When it acts up on me, I just hit the Windows key to go to the desktop, and click the taskbar icon for the game. The menu comes up in seconds.

EDIT: Whoodie, I just tried your suggestion, forcing v-sync off worked great. PURE actually has awesome load times now. I was almost ready to give up on it and wait for a patch. Thanks!
 
I Accidentally came upon a Solution to the Extremely Long Load Times in "Pure" For the PC that Might be of Benefit to some Forum Members.

Here Goes, I noticed an Anomaly because I thought the Game was Crashing or Something as it was taking a Really Long Time to Load between Races, that I started my Task Manager to Monitor Pure's Behavior, and all of a sudden it started to make sense, it wasn't the Game Crashing, or anything that Major, it's just a Freakin Bug in the Game Load DLL or whatever, because if you Switch between the "Desktop" and the Game using the Old Windows Key, and M Key at the same time (Pops you Back to the Desktop) and then go back to the Game, it started Working again, and thus led me to believe it was a Programming Bug, the Game works fine with no other Anomalies.
 
its not long for me... the game loads are a little longer for everyone, but nowhere near 5 minutes its more like 40-50 seconds at most.

I have a raptor, load times on this game are horrendous. It has nothing to do with the speed of your drive, it's a bug... ALT+TAB did work for me though.
 
^^what he said. 2 in RAID do nothing for me (except make a lot of racket). Along w/ annoying load times are the occasional looping load screens w/ no GUI for "Loading..." that kill the pacing of a career mode. :(
 
First - this only happens in Vista. In XP the load times are fine.

Second - forcing Vsync off makes it work perfectly.
