Was reading an article this morning, and noticed it was going to be released on PC  I haven't enjoyed a Bond game since Goldeneye on the n64.. and I'll more than likely pick this up for PC if it gets decent reviews. Here's to hoping! Anyone else anticipating the PC release?

I probably won't be buying this, for two reasons:

Bond FPS on PC: LOL!
Games based on movies: 2x LOL!

Bond FPS based on movie on the PC: 3x LOL!

With very few exceptions: Movie license games are just mediocre at best even when the license is absolutely killer and should spawn all kinds of great games.

I remember playing Bond Everything or Nothing on PS2 and I loved it back then. I'm planning on picking this one up.

I forsee a lot of 6's and 7's. I definitely will wait to see what the reviews and people around here say about the game before I even consider it.

I played 007 Nightfire. It was okay for a FPS but nothing special EXCEPT the X-Ray glasses hehe.

^ I don't really get it. There hasn't been a Bond FPS on PC, why can't there be again? Too "cool" for it or something?

Wow, never knew that was on PC. Color me red, and feel free to spank me. I insist.

Oh, you were talking about your own reply

:D

Yep didn't see this other guy came in between.

Anyway, I do kinda agree with you. It's hard to believe a 007 fps for the PC will turn out to be something worth playing. it's probably gonna be another 6 / 7 rated game.

Well regardless, I am picking it up for the sheer joy of it being a Bond game. I am a huge 007 fan. From what I am hearing, they are going to heavily focus on the MP this time around. I believe one of the devs said that its time to get the game back to its glory days of Goldeneye on the N64.

We'll see eh? I'm hoping...

They've been promising "the next Goldeneye!" ever since Goldeneye and it still hasn't happened.

Ya I really enjoyed the demo, but man was it short. Looking forward to release. Any word on the multiplayer modes?

Ditto, just finished playing it. Although very short it was pretty entertaining and shows promise. Heres hoping.

I thought the demo was pretty shitty to be honest. Graphics were very poor and the gameplay was generic. I suppose it was a little short to judge the entire game on it though.

graphics were poor? what? its an improved COD4 engine and imo looks quite well tbh.

I disagree. The shadow maps were low-res and had a ton of stepping, the models were mediocre, lighting was bland, water shaders were nothing special, and the bump mapping looked pretty flat. If this was two years ago it would be pretty good, but by more modern standards it looks pretty rough.

I ran through the demo in 5minutes it felt like. all I had to do was hold forward and shoot. no skills required. i hope the full version includes more Bond stuff than just the title

not terrible. Seems to be locked at 30fps on my machine for some reason. Overly easy and linear demo. I'd buy it for 29.99 but probably not any more.

Graphics were dissapointing. Gameplay was somewhat entertaining although the immediate health regeneration turned of me off.

I've played some short demos in my day, but jeez, this was tiny :(

Gameplay was pretty solid. Sort of a mix of GoW and CoD. I can see this being pretty fun so long as the full game is a respectable length. :p

The demo left me wanting more.

Gameplay blended 3rd and 1st person quite successfully, I thought. Cover system is as good as Gears or Rainbow 6
Graphics are decent but not outstanding. Good use of CoD4 engine.

Traits of cross development with consoles, graphics with a low ceiling and game features such as health regen to cater for the newbs :)

Just by using the CoD 4 engine, that was pretty much a given...

I wonder though (not having tried the demo yet), can we at least open a damn door in this game ? CoD 4 was the absolute top in lack of interactivity, since all we do is point and shoot...

I played it, and it looked good. I went into options and set things to maximum. 1920x1200 w/ 4x aa. Very nice looking game. Physics looks good, and so did the models, atleast the main guy. His suite was A+. Yes, right when the demo starts, you can see the shadow maps are pretty gay.

It definately was short, but yes, I wanted more. Maybe this will be a good PC port, I might actually pick it up, we will have to wait and see :)

On a side note, I went and played megaman 9 demo on PS3 afterwards, and OMG was that a hard ass game.... Concrete man, and It took me like 3 game overs just to get to the second elephant.... I remember beating megaman games without a problem back in my console days.... Almost makes me wonder if Ive lost skill in all games but FPS, or if megaman 9 was just that F*****G hard....

It appears this is capped at 30fps

anyone know if it can be disabled?

More than likely, yes since its based on the COD4 engine. Just gonna have to wait till release though unless someone wants to go in and figure out how to enable the console (probably through a config). I'll probably pick this one up.. it looks good to me.

Nice looking graphics (Im a huge fan of the cod4 engine). Pretty linear gameplay, but fun even though it was insanely short. Gotta give Treyarch some credit on trying to bring the Bond series to the PC.

The demo is great, gave me a real Uncharted vibe (which is a very, very good thing).

My only complaint is that the demo was capped to 30fps, when COD4 on every system was 60fps by default.
The fuck, Treyarch?
