Post your LAN Party pics!

Every time kuyaglen posts pics of the lan parties he attends I get jealous. Why is the west coast lan scene so much more active and thriving than the east coast lan scene? I'm not talking about lan center activities either. I'm talking about the good ol' byoc lan parties. Seems like back from 2000-2003 there were tons of big lans on the east coast - ECL, Lanwar, Capitol Punishment, and others that lasted for at least a full weekend. Now all the lans I see are 24 hours or 36 hours. Its not worth a 5+ hour drive for some of us for that kind of gaming. All that's really left in the mid-atlantic region is ECL, and this past winter event was sub-par and they only have 2 events a year now.

What's happened east coast? Lets bring back the good old 3 day weekend lans!

Seeing that makes my pain worse...

Was that at pdx? What did you have to do to win that quad extreme? Be the first to the stage with a pickle? LOL.

Its ridiculous the sheer amount of shwag at the west coast events. I love the way pdx divies out the goodies and allows for anyone regardless of gaming skill to win something. Over here on the tight butt east coast you better be a god at CS or at least pay 3 good players to be on your team or else all you'll get is a bawls sticker for attending a lan.

It was a lan party held at Intel in Folsom CA. The 6 QX9650's were raffled off.

Here is our Lan Video from this weekend in Tyler, TX... Enjoy!

We have gamers from ages 12 to early 60s.

This year I think the consoles took over we had 5 XBOX 360's all but 2 running on 720p HDTV's 32" and higher Also had an old school Atari, N64 (Goldeneye FTW!), and a Wii.

Nearly 60 perople attended. We are family friendly, and provide a safe environment for all.

lmao, btw the BSOD's seriously made me LOL

I cant believe how many CRT's I am still seeing at these LAN's.

Some people just refuse to believe that their eyes can't tell the difference and they believe that you can only game on a CRT. Maybe you can have higher refresh rates on a CRT, but its to the point now where humans can't tell, and its not going to make you a better gamer.

Lol

I'm not sure what happened to him. He had it before he came to the LAN.

Nah, it's just that a lot of people don't have the scratch to buy a $250+ 24" LCD, and 22" flat-glass CRT's are like $50 off craigslist.

Long live the (cheap) CRT!

kuyaglen did you hear about that one guy at PDXLAN (a couple LANS ago) who got busted with a pRon server? That was funny stuff . . .

lol.. my first few lan parties.. i haulled a 19" to a 21" CRT.. I'm years older now.. I'll whip out a hundred bucks for some cheap ass 20" monitor. Human eye can only see up to 9x Hertz. Average eye can see 70-80 hertz. That ain't gonna improve ur game.. maybe improve your backpain.. =D

I used to bring 3 19" CRTs, a computer chair, 3 PC's and a bunch of sponsor prizes and such to the LAN. Need a couple of trips for that one.

That's one hell of a mullet.

The caption should say: One of my buddies sporting a 24 inch Mullet.

I use to pack 2 17inch crts, 2 80 pound server cases, swag/bawls cases, network equipment and all the stuff to go along with it to go to lan parties.

Ask AthlonXP, I had all that plus still managed to pack his 21inch crt and system into my sedan with out using the trunk.

I played FAR to much tetris as a child.
