Wii mariokart is still selling like that? Jesus christ.. I had no idea

How is the Nintendo DS still selling so well. At the rate they have been selling you would think everyone on earth that could buy one has one if not two.

thats an awful lot of copies of Madden for the 360. Cant wait for Septembers NPD figures, what with the 360's price drop and all.

I do find it hilarious that the Wii is quietly curbstomping the other consoles when so many people claimed it was just a fad and would not hold up :D

can someone post what was sold hardware wise in august 2007 for reference?

So the PSP,PS3, Wii and DS have picked up in sales since this time last year, whereas the PS2 ad 360 have droped in sales..... not good for the 360 considering it has the cheapest Next gen Units

These sales figures are from before the price cut. Wait a month.

I'm continually surprised by the number of PSPs sold despite there not being any big releases recently.

The 360 had a price drop again on Sept 5, so Sept NPD numbers are going to be VERY interesting. MS reported that after one week of the new prices, retailers reported over double sales figures and the $199 Arcade sold at 6 times its normal rate.

There are also rumors of a major 360 relaunch at the end of the month, and a major marketing campaign slated for the holidays. The Wii/DS/PSP are selling like crazy, but I don't think I'm alone when I say "I'm waiting to see how the 360 numbers do after having being the first to $199."

You know,

speaking about the Wii. I don't know HOW stores are having a hard time keeping that damn machine in stock. Everytime I try BBY or TGT. Nada! Walmart. NADA. (*bitter because I can not score a Wii!).

yep definitely gonna be big numbers, at least initially, for MS next month due to price drop.
Sony may have to counter quick.

Not too mention Wii sales numbers have been dropping consistently every single month for the last 6 months. Nintendo is simply creating an artificial demand.

Soon all the consoles will pick up thanksgiving and then xmas sales too.

Wii is constantly surprising me to be honest..(I had no idea the casual 'dont care about graphics' market was so big...) Its interesting to note though that there are no 3rd party Wii games doing well. Thats because they all stink !

I reckon the 360 is about to upturn and do a stellar xmas thanks to price cuts, new games, and the high PS3 price.

They've been doing it since after the initial release rush. Six months in supply problems? Ok, I can accept that. Year? Meh, i was deeply suspicious. Now? Fuck you nintendo, you're playing conservative, even after all of this success, and keeping demand high by shorting supply.

How about increase production, make games people want to play, and actually communicate with your third parties about your plans.

nintendo annoys me

SSB Brawl. Let me down.
Mario Kart Wii (whatever its called) let me down
Super Mario Galaxy same let down.
Metroid 3 collecting dust.

<3 pre- GC Nintendo... I honestly feel that Nintendo has lost its touch with the people that care about them the most. :(

The Wii is a fad because there is zero 3rd party support. I sold my Wii long ago because it was collecting dust.

For those who are more visual :)

No it isn't hahah

My buddy bought a Wii and we played it for 20 hours in the first couple of days. It DOES probably have less than 100 on it... The 360? Probably closer to 1000.

What you forget to mention is after that forst cpl of days he hasn't touched it since! :D

Nope, We used it for another about 40 hours for SSBB (Too bad it was shit. I stopped after about 5. ) and I played a good 10 or 12 hours of prime 3 on it. It gets used... Occasionally.

Oh, and random rentals like boom blox. hahah
