Your Laptop Picture [H]ere (read first post for rules please)

Yea, those new vaio's are odd. They have 16" screens, and are 16X9, as opposed to standard 16X10.
They look bigger than standard 15.4" screen, but when you put them next to a 15" laptop, they look smaller. They are pretty thin though.
My BestBuy has one with a bluray drive too which is nice, but no HDMI output...

@ AthlonXP
It's pretty good for being on the lower end of discrete graphics. I loaded oblivion on it and was able to get 20 -30 fps on medium settings with a few dips into the teens. I haven't had a chance to watch any movies on it yet. Overall I am very pleased with the performance.

@ alkaline
I would say it's a normal thickness compared to most laptops. My pics don't show that because I was showing off the ports.

new baby lappy... EeePC 1000H...these aren't really "netbooks". they're more like the ultraportables. running Vista Ultimate. only other thing i added was some doublesided tape to the keyboard (HORRIBLE flex, now its very solid) and a 2GB ram stick from my 701. very snappy and i can't complain at all. :)

considering the deals you can get on 6860FX(799$ - 8800GTS-M 17" Notebook) no its not the greatest deal , but if you were dead set on a 15.4 than yes decent deal

Here's my new Vaio... 14.1 inch, 2ghz Core 2 Duo, 3GB Ram, 160gb hard drive, intel x3100 graphics, dvd burner etc.

the new keyboards are great i think... the keys have a nice feel to them and it doesnt feel like it'd break easily. and the instant on feature is useful for watching movies, dont have to wait for windows to boot up jus go straight into the movie.

nothing else like those HP advertisements and crap

this (and stickers), is why I just prefer desktops, plus I've never needed a laptop. I'd only want one because of the space it takes up (lack of, that is).

I prefer desktops as well... it's much easier to take a computer, keyboard, mouse and monitor everywhere I go. It especially works well for small desks in class. Who needs portability and a battery?

so you prefer desktops because of the lack of stickers? :p

Fujitsu T5010 tablet:
Intel Centrino 2 (montevia) P8600 @ 2.4GHz
3GB DDR3 1066 MHz
250GB HDD

Don't ask me about the screen, I don't know how to install it and there are alot of bubbles and scratches on the protector. Getting a new one ASAP.

After much investigation into replacing my old Dell Gen1 XPS doorstop, I just picked myself up a Gateway P-173XL FX. 17' 1920x1200 screen, 2.4Ghz Intel T8300, 4GB RAM, 8800m GTS graphics, and 2 200GB drives running on built in RAID0. If anyone has seen the P-7811 at best buy, this is pretty much the same thing but with the RAID, bluetooth, and surprisingly, a Vista Ultimate with absolutely NO VENDOR-WARE; just windows and Cyberlink Power2Go for disc burning. I think the RAID makes it worth it over the P-7811 just for the disaster recovery alone. It also gets about 3 hours on battery doing general web and media stuff. Only problem is its glossy surfaces. Otherwise, it's a bootiful machine.

The tablet is mad secks. I use the pen more then I type, and no; the screen is EXTREMELY sturdy. No matter how much pressure you put on the screen, the lcd doesn't ripple at all, and the hinge doesn't move at all. I can't predict the quality of cheaper made tablets, since I do have the flagship fujitsu model, and the worlds most powerful tablet. For writing, it feels like pen on glass.

Don't mind the smudges, I can't seem them when actually using it.

Just got a tc1100. Nice and cheap used tablet for under $280. Has a busted keyboard latch and no dock, but I don't need any of those. I plan on using it slate mode most of the time. Pentium M 1.2ghz, 512mb, 60gb hd, Intel wireless. Loaded up Vista Business N. So far everything works and it's a lot faster then I expected.

Now that I've got my X200:

ATI X1400

DVD-RW

The only downside is, as you can see, I must only use 1 core.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you probably shouldnt post that here. I have a good feeling the forum has a rule against discussion of illegal material.

I fail to see where he discussed anything. I really dont know why everyone on this forum is so, "OMG OSX on a pc, the internet police is going to arrest you." even when all you post is just a pic, its not like people distribute osx illegally and also tell you how to install it when all they do is post a pic.
