CS:S Steam Connection Problem (At College)

Whenever I try to connect to a server (Connecting to Server...") in CSS it can't connect to any server, even though I can browse servers, surf the internet ect. My firewall is off but I don't know what the school may have to prevent the game from connecting. It only does this sometimes, I can sometimes connect to servers.

Hmm, never heard of that. I don't suppose you could ask someone at school that's a network admin?

Yes, but I would start asking around, see if any other students that use steam have the same problem, and if it is occurring at the same times. If you can determine that, then you can take that to a network admin or something and get it looked at.

hell you should be able to call up support and see if they are blocking any ports or do i yourself with a port scanner.
