fps co-op games?

Any good fps co-op games out there worth mentioning for the PC? Me and my gf are really wanting to play more games instead of spending all our cash on gas etc and we really would love some good Co-Op games and or VS fps games.. Though as long as its on the PC we are open to suggestions for any two player games we can play on our lan..

Anyone wanna suggest one?
 
Tried Counter-Strike ? :D You'll get addicted ^^

What system do you have ?

You can also try Crysis.
 
Flatout (or GRID ... a little more $$) are fun racing games

BF42/Desert Combat is great for flying Helos :)
 
Half Life 2 +Synergy mod or buy Garry's Mod
You can make a lan servers and run through the whole game together

Obsidian Conflict is a WAY better coop mod for hl2. It works for both episodes in addition to it's own custom coop maps.

Thanks for the info. I'm deploying soon and have a friend or two this will be great to try out with while over there.
 
you can look into Left 4 Dead when it comes out. Valve usually makes solid games so it should be decent enough
 
My personal favorite is SVEN Co-op mod for HL. I believe they are working on a HL2 version too.http://www.svencoop.com/

Serious Sam on the hardest setting is some of the craziest coop I've played as well.

There has been a huge drought for years on the CoOp PC Gaming scene, nothing new in like forever, where as consoles get them all the time :rolleyes: Even Doom ]l[ shipped on the X-box with built in CoOp but never happened for the PC :rolleyes:

Finally the companies are waking up to us PC Gamers wants and needs, and two major titles dues this Fall will be FPS CoOp = Call of Duty 5, and Left 4 Dead, and more due next year.

Left 4 Dead is actually a project by Turtle Rock Studios... which is now owned by Valve. I'm pretty sure development started before TRS was acquired though.
 
Team Fortress 2... provided you both manage to get on the same team, which shouldn't be hard.

Great to play with friends... one be medic, other some other damage class, and switch roles once in a while, unbeatable :)
 
me and my buddy are gonna grab merc2 when it comes out. co-op in that kind of gameplay should be very fun :)
