Got a new sticker.

Yeah...Franziskaner. I love that weizen/weißbier (german names vor wheat beer)! nice sticker btw. :D

1 shell casing of inert .50cal + beer + skull f*cking robot stickers scares the hell out of me?!!

haha. I got the .50 cal casing from my last trip to the range. My friends and I met this older gentleman with a lot of toys. He originally brought out his M1 Garand, but ended up traveling home to load up some 'toys' :). Ended up bringing out his 50 cal rifle, a Desert Eagle 50 cal (with a 44 mag barrel as well), SVD Dragonuv, an RPD, DP Degtyaryov light machine gun, and an UZI. It was a load of fun.

And in case anyone is wondering what the 50 cal was like, it was a pussycat. Between the design of the barrel which forces the gases out of the end of the barrel back towards you as you shoot to pull the gun forward and reduce recoil, and the padding on the butt of the gun that was comparable to a gel wrist rest, the recoil really wasn't that bad. It had a hair trigger though, definitely don't want to put your finger anywhere near that trigger unless you're ready to shoot. The Desert Eagle firing 50 cal ammo was the worst from a recoil standpoint, but even that wasn't so bad because it's so heavy. I've fired a 44 mag revolver that was worse. My favorite gun was the Dragonuv. I need to get one of those ;)

I thought the same with my DE. The gas recoil and the size of the slide helps a lot. Shoots like butter.

Haven't found a reason to switch yet beyond the weight and size, but a smaller and lighter monitor that doesn't perform as well doesn't hold much appeal for me. My next display will probably be a projector for gaming/movies.

just a warning from experience.. a bunch of crts in the room along with a projector will heat it up like a oven. Add people and you got yourself a day spa. :)

Yeah, the projector will probably end up in the basement rec room, since it's cooler and I can get away with cranking the stereo down there w/o bothering neighbors, plus the lack of natural sunlight is better.

What kind of projector do you have? I was thinking about the Optoma 720p although I may just bite the bullet and go 1080p since I'd rather not have to upgrade later. Still tossing those ideas around and waiting for the right time to approach my wife w/ the idea :)

It is a great deal for $100. I am using the same one and it has so much space, I love the shelf too. I went with the maple, but the cherry does look really nice. my staples only had the maple in stock and I didn't want to wait a few days for the other color to come in.

got any pics of those guns?

btw if you do post them.. I would reccomend putting them here.. or they'll get deleted. A new thread would be the safest. ;)

There is an entire section for that in the off topic forum.

mine was a sony POS. One of the first ever portable ones.. I also had lan parties in my room with 6 crt's ranging from 19 to 24. plus my AC sucked and I was upstairs. ugh. literally about 85-90 in the dead of Houston summer with AC cranked. Luckily I had a side attic and built a window unit into it.

I didn't have my camera with me, but my friend Matt did get a few videos and pictures on his phone. I'll see if I can get him to send them to me tonight. Unfortunately I got booted from the off-topic forums for a disagreement w/ Kyle but what I can do is finish off the makeover I'm doing to my desktop and then open the pics on my screenshot and post it in the screenshot thread. :)

Nice setup, I bought my girlfriend the dsc-w100 camera for Christmas and she loves it. It looks like the dsc-w50 can take some great shots too.

illuminate... it's looking good... I think that case looks pretty good too, the gloss front goes good with your 22" LCD.
I love those Skylines... I was actually going to buy a Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T Series 2 from a guy, but then I decided on the Lancer Evolution instead ;)
Oh and nice pics like compslckr said... dsc-w50 is an excellent camera, it can take some great macro close ups too :)

Got a new Canon SD1000 for real cheap off eBay and wanted to try it out.....

btw for those of you who use Photobucket or Imageshack should seriously consider MediaFire. www.mediafire.com
