its right i got close to that with the 4850. OC and you'll hit 13k.

I think it seems a tad low considering your cpu and video card. I'm assuming you have your stuff all at stock clocks...have you considered overclocking?

Your ram maybe holding you back. Not only are you runing just 2gb you are runing ddr2 667.

.I plan to upgrade my RAM later. I'd have gotten faster RAM but then I'd have exceeded my budget.

That is a pretty good read on the over all relevance of a synthetic benchmark in comparison to a game test suite. In fact you could make the argument it is more accurate to delve the results from the 3dmark database than it is to read a review in which they test a mere two games.
