Ok, so my Samsung 226 BW just died today.
I'm looking for a new monitor preferably, non-Samsung. This is my 2nd 226BW, first one I RMA'ed because it was flickering, this one was replacement, and now after 3 months it died.
I was looking at getting a 24'' for gaming. I'd also like it to have good colors, contrast, etc for HD movies, and pictures. I do a little bit of photo editing, but nothing hardcore.
I was looking at the Dell 2408WFP, but after looking at the dell forums they seem to be having issues with red hues, and half of the screen being brighter than the other half. However, some people giving reviews are like "zomg this is teh secks!!!". So I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not.
Another one I was looking at was the Dell E248WFP

I'm completely out of ideas for what to look for. When I find something that catches my eye, I read some reviews and there's something horribly wrong with the monitor that 1 out of every 25 people get.
So I'm more than open to suggestions and feedback.
