I am trying to find the (beta?) software by microsoft that is like "full armor"

I read a good article about it (linked from the hard?). Now I can not find it.

Any one got any ideas?

Thanks

Jared

Thanks! I tried that. . . *sigh* It is something you can DL directly from MS right now. Just can not find it for the life of me.

Looks like they now make software for managing Group Policy.. not very useful for end-users.

Is this SteadyState or something different?
I'm trying to find a steady state type system for the machines for the school I work at. But we don't want IE history and cache to be cleared on reboot (to keep icons in place, UI settings secure, etc.).

Steady State is here,

If you don't want to use steady state then, why don't you just implement a mandatory profile for all users in domain/ou? This way no matter what they change it will always be restored to settings of the default mandatory profile when the next users logs in.

You can also create a GPO so users can not delete history, cookies, temp internet files.

I remember Full Armor from Walmart. After clicking the link it made sense.

They used to stop "kids" from adding format /y C:\ to the run= line of C:\Windows\run.ini

LOL
