not upgrading crowd here....i have other money pits other than the computer like my saltwater reef tank and wife and kids and two vehicles, etc....besides, i just set up myself a 8800GTS 320 SLI combo for like $50.....while the new cards might give a good performance for price, i dont think it beats that :)

Not upgrading at this time. I used to be an early adopter, but after being burned a numerous times I have learned to control my buying fever. I will wait until ATI delivers before I make my buying decision.

I'm using a x1950 pro right now. It is fine for the games I play on my 19"crt but I am looking to get a 24" lcd. I was thinking of upgrading my card for this reason. I'd like to see some reviews on the 4850 and 4870.

I just bought a 4850 and am moving my 8800 GTS 640 to my wifes box. Totally an unnecessary upgrade I think, but at $144 shipped I couldn't pass it up. At least we can both play UT3 maxed now! :D

Q4 08 in a $350 minimum SKU.

I'm betting the marketing of "Core 3 is the ideal holiday gift" will be in full swing for x-mas, so I suspect you'll see em pop up on store shelves in November.

Yeah assuming a $350 minimum for low end nehalem right there. Really who knows how the prices for nehalem will turn out, if intel has trouble making them the first few batches might just be sold as extreme edition / high end server cpus, so more waiting time for the average enthusiast out there. I like many want to upgrade to nehalem as soon as it is out but the possible cost of new cpu / ddr3 / new mobo type and a 4870x2 maybe a little bit too high. Plus who knows what kind of cooling these new chips will require, seeing how current 45nm intel extreme edition cpus suck up power these new cpus maybe even hotter then the former i.e. mandatory wc.
