Could someone with one of these cards please upload the Precision tool version 1.2.0 somewhere? eVGA seems to be hording it this time as it's only available on the install cd that ships with these cards. I've been searching all over the intarweb for someplace to download it but have come up empty so far.

Actually, it is an overclocking tool as well. I absolutely hate the nvidia system tools and find the eVGA Precision tool to be far superior. The tool works with non-eVGA cards as well, the only problem is that the latest available version from their website does not yet support gtx200 series.

My card hasn't come in yet due to the seller shipping with the wrong shipping method (I paid for overnight and was shipped slower :( ), but if no one has by the time it comes in (hopefully tomorrow/tuesday) I will send it to you. Fire off a PM to me with your email.

That would be redistributing EVGA's intellectual property without permission and would be both illegal and a violation of the [H]ard|Forum user agreement. There must be some reason EVGA has chosen not to make version 1.2.0 available for downloadl perhaps it's only working for the GTX260/280 boards only at the moment? *shrug*

Or just use Rivatuner 2.09 that do support GTX2x0 and is the mother to Precision tool that is a lightversion of Rivatuner.
That gives you the same thing and mutch more.

As it is a freely available tool that they just haven't updated the version on their site, I don't think it is.

No email or pmail from you, I think you may have me confused with andrewglass25.

Anyone managed to lay their hands on the evga precision tool for the 260 / 280?

I don't want to be an a$$hole here, but since evga doesn't release the tool for public download at the moment, I don't think it would be wise to upload it somewhere for public download. After all, it might be illegal.

Don't blame you.

I love EVGA's Precision Tool so I don't blame him for wanting it.

It *IS* illegal.

Just because EVGA makes it 'freely available' on their site (and others they choose to allow as distribution points) doesn't give everyone the right to distribute it themselves. It's called 'software piracy' folks - look it up. :)

Does not matter it wont work on 200 series cards other than EVGA

How did you get around the no supported hardware error message?

Who ever got it from me, please make yourself available to give to others. I've been bombarded with PMs and from what I gather, it works.

I'll wait for EVGA to make it public. Till then I recommend the latest rivatuner, it works just fine.

you do that.

on another note, I'm taking it down as I already feel someone's going to make a stink about it.
