That is one snazzy HTPC. If it weren't for the two fans on the front, you probably wouldn't notice it at all. Any chance you have some pics of the inside of the case? It looks like it'd be roomy.

hey guys thanks for the kind comments, It has taken quite a bit of hard work to get it to look like it does now. My place is 60 years old and when we bought it it looked like it had not been touched since it was built. All the internal and obviously the outside walls are brick so it took a lot of work to loose all of the wires in the walls and there were a lot (i hate wires)......

hey vischo will have to add the logitech harmony remote to my wish list wonder if can control the ps3 if anyone knows then let me know

hey slats here is a picture of my 'wiiplace' with the light on

nice and cosy at night

thanks svak if it was not for the 2 gpu's i would have not bothered with the 2 case fans. A friend of mine came round the other day who has not seen my place and thought that i had randomly fitted a car stereo and two speakers in the unit. So i explained what it was i which impressed him more guess i can see his point though. I have not got any pictures of the inside of the case but to be honest it was quite a tight squeeze the case is wider than a standard case but it is shorter and access is only from the back but here is a pic of the front fan which i have fitted the power switch and the power/hdd lights which i forgot to mention in the spec.

Thought I would put a couple up of my living room. Its not finished, I need a nice amp and speakers and to sort the cables behind the TV.

Anyway, here we go.

That screen is AMAZING. No words can describe how cool the touch screen function is.

Also just a side note, that computer is so quiet, I put resistors on all the fans and I can barely hear the thing, the loudest part is the optical drive.

Here are my two current HTPC's...

I just posted these in the main "show off your pc" thread, but since both of my cases are Antec, I'll post here too. :)

P180B - Main HTPC

- Antec P180B
- MSI P6N Diamond
- Core2Duo E6750 (OC 3Ghz) w/ lapped Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme
- Kingston HyperX 2 x 1GB DDR2 RAM (PC6400)
- EVGA nVidia 8800GT 512MB SSC w/Arctic Cooling Accelero S1
- Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 MCE
- SAMSUNG DVD Burner SATA
- LG HD DVD/Blu-Ray Combo Drive
- WD SE16 320GB & SE16 500GB x 2
- Enermax Infiniti 720w PSU
- Yate Loon 120mm fan x 4

NSK-2480 - Bedroom HTPC

- Antec NSK2480
- GIGABYTE GA-945GCM-S2C
- Core2Duo E4500 w/ Scythe Ninja Mini
- Mushkin 2 x 1GB DDR2 RAM (PC5300)
- EVGA 9600GT SC
- Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 MCE
- LG GGC-H20L
- Seagate Scorpio 2.5" 160GB HDD
- Enermax Liberty 500w
- 2x Noctua NF-P12
- Samsung 32" 720P LCD HDTV
- Vista Home Premium

The LG drive looks out of place, so I ordered a stealth bay from the P160 that should completely hide the bay. It didn't fit as well as I hoped, so now my next step is to dye the front panel black.

Believe it or not, but the Noctua fans are the loudest things in my case, regardless of fan speed.

Do they make that thing without the touchscreen? I think that is the case I'm looking for!

Here's my setup. Nothing terribly fancy -- no surround sound as I live in a small condo + I mainly listen to music, so 2.0 suffices. Thinking about wall-mounting my plasma...

3x 500GB HD's (RAID 5)
2.0GB RAM

That's an impressive web app you built there. Question though: how did you get all the movie data? An API? Or hand entered?

Thanks man.. I get all the movie info (actors/roles/synopsis) from imdb using CGI perl scripts.. The DVD information I get from various DVD retailers manually entered.. and the reviews were all me :)

Would you mind sharing this script to a fellow [H] movie nerd? :) I've been trying to figure out a way to reliably mine data from imdb.com for a while now. Right now it's what's really holding up my own movie application.

Now I'm going to paint!

Nice setup. Though, just say no to Klipsch. Overpriced IMO. There is a lot better for the same or less money.

computer was put together in summer 2003. a few minor upgrades since then (video card, ram)

hopefully ill build a new one with a nice case once nehalim comes out.

Wow, I have the same speaker setup, receiver (606), hdtv antenna, and keyboard in my living room.

I have the same center channel and speakers as you. I have Monitor 40s in the front flanking my 50" Sony TV. The M20s I use for the rear speakers so I didn't have to buy stands. With the 12" Polk sub providing the lows.

How do you guys like the monitor series? I picked them up because I was able to get a full set of Monitor 70s/CS2/40s for around 500 bucks. Seems like a good setup for the money.
