I normally participate in the Trade/ForSale/Hardward forums at HardForum. I'm not sure about the programming forums here as far as participation. Anyone know a good programming forum?

I rarely look in this forum however I figure I'd post the question here as browse this forum.

Besides browsing this forum I often visit dream in code(http://www.dreamincode.net/) forums. They are great and have a vast amount of posters to either help or discuss about programming topics and news.

What type of programming?

Sitepoint, DevShed, CodeProject, CodeGuru, and DreamInCode all have some nice HEAVY traffic forums.

With more specifics there are other places to point to. Such as specific platforms (MSDN, Linux (Distro specific too), Macs) or whatever.

I'm a rookie Delphi programmer mostly at work, and the Borland newsgroups are one of the most useful things I've ever found on the 'net.

Other than that this is the only one I frequent and it's really good obviously. There's some good stuff and smart people on the Ars Technica forums also.

If you program in Java, you can't beat Sun's Java Forum. That's a big reason why I like Java.

You're lucky. I can't post without getting a 10600.

Turns out that dreamincode.net is sending an invalid header with its response, so I can't get it from work. It's hard for me to recommend this forum, anyway, because of its confrontational moderation.

ars-technica forum has always worked quite well for me. People on there to assist with most flavours of language.
