setup:
evga 750i ftw, q6700, ocz 2x2gb.

bios:
fsb-memory: unlinked
fsb: 300
multi: 10x
mem speed: 800
core: 1.3v
cpu fsb: 1.25v
memory: 2.1v
nforce spp: 1.3
nf200: 1.2v

temps:
idle: 33,36,30,32.
load:50,51,46,47.
nb sits in the 30's.

reason for the thread:
runs perfect. im fairly new to overclocking, so just making sure the voltages other than my core look good. my temps are great, memory is timed, so that's running smoothly also.

definitively, but you can try lower the multi and raise more fsb (better performance).

That will very likely cost you more vcores on the MB... 10x300 is not too bad. If you want more speed out of it, you can try 10x333 or 10x340 for example, but you paid the extra $$$ to get the 10x multiplier, I would recommend that you use it :)

You can drop it down to something like 9x370, but again, the high the FSB, the higher the voltage/heat you'll produce.

Since you're new to o/c'ing, have a read though my C2D/C2Q Overclocking Guide. If you haven't yet, minimize those vcores if you're happy with the 3.0 GHz system. Again, you might be able to push it to 3.33-3.60 but watch your temps and voltages.

yeah, ill stick to the 10 multi.
i've read the c2d, c2q oc guide, but it didn't really mention the other voltages too much.
can someone explain what each one is to me?

@import - sure it does...

i re-read it... from what i gather:

memory: 2.1v ------------well, duh.
core: 1.3v -----------------obviously core voltage.
cpu fsb: 1.25v ------------idk?
nforce spp: 1.3v ---------nb?
nf200: 1.2v ----------------sb?

@import:

I'll make a guess (which might be incorrect) that your CPU FSB = VTT
dunno about the other two... nforce spp and nf2000

Looks like you have some googling ahead of you!
