Which P35 boards can fit a Thermalright U120E sideways?

I'm looking for a good P35 board to OC an e8400.

I have an Antec 900 case. I want to orient the 120UE so that the fan is blowing directly upwards and out the top fan. This also leaves room to put a fan in the side of the case, whereas mounting the TRU120E the conventional way with the exhaust blowing out the rear doesn't.

I've heard that some boards prevent this because various things (mostly caps) get in the way of orienting it that way.

I'm not dead-set on P35, but as I want to use DDR2, probably won't use SLI, and want something tested and affordable, that seems like my best bet, right?

So recommendations for a board that has a good rep for OC that can fit the TRU120E sideways preferably under $150 would be appreciated.

If you'd also like to chime in and mention boards that you know *don't* fit the TRU120E that way, I'd appreciate that too... it might save me some time and a headache.

Edit: Another important requirement is that it has to work with the E8400 out of the box. I don't have any other intel chips to boot up with to flash the bios. Do pretty much all recent P35 boards do this?

Just about any board with TRUE can be mounted like that.

Get DFI DK p35 board.

The DFI DK p35 was actually one of the boards I've heard can't mount the TRUE sideways because of that cooler or whatever that is on the edge near the CPU.

To be clear, the "correct" way is with the unit facing so that the exhaust blows out the rear of the case, right? By "sideways" I mean so that it's blowing directly up.

the second review of the DK P35 on the egg:

Pros: Highly configurable - great for tweaking or overclocking. Great looks, with black PCB and included UV-reactive cables and slots. Compatible out of the box with newer processors (45nm). Great value - high dollar board features at a bargain board price.
Cons: Layout may be a problem with some CPU coolers and RAM. The Northbridge heatsink is quite tall and could hit many aftermarket coolers. It voids the warranty to remove or replace it. The RAM slots are very close to the CPU and might have similar problems with tall RAM or those with heatsinks/fans. (My Corsair Dominator fan must be offset mounted to fit for instance) SATA ports are mounted in an awkward position/facing.
Other Thoughts: Very pleased with this board so far. Using an E8400 with TRUE 120 and Corsair Dominator RAM. A tight fit in my Antec 900, but everything works well. Many overclocking options and good support on the net for tweaking.

regarding orientation for the TRUE, i assume that "sideways" means the TRUE would be pointed upwards. that northbridge heatsink looks tall enough to get in the way of a back-facing orientation.

Perhaps believing NE reviews is a good thing....:)

Just do your research and ask tons if questions, buy once.
