Hey guys, just got my new machine built, and I'm having a couple problems. Specs are:

Motherboard: DFI LP LT X48-T2RS
CPU: Intel E8400 @ 4ghz (50c idle, 65c load...at least thats what CoreTemp says)
RAM: G-Skill DDR2 1066 5-5-5-15 2x2gb @ DDR2 1069
Video: EVGA 8800gt
Sound: Auzentech X-Fi Prelude
System Drive: 250gb Seagate
RAID: 3Ware 9650SE 8-port w/ 4x 500gb Seagates (RAID 5)
Power: PCP&C 750W Silencer Quad

now...here's the issues I'm having...

1. Video is cut off: I have this system hooked up to an Onkyo TX-SR605 Receiver (DVI -> HDMI). My old computer had this problem too...I just forget how I fixed it. The top of the screen is "cut off," as if I'm missing the first 10px or so of my desktop. Just a minor gripe, kind of annoying. I know I fixed this before...I think w/ some nVidia utility...any ideas?

2. Weirder here...if I turn the receiver or the monitor (Westinghouse 42" 1080p LCD) off, I hear thru the computers speakers that little sound like you removed a piece of hardware (same sound like when you remove a flash drive). If I turn either back on, the comp. can never get a video signal again, I just have to reboot the machine by holding the power button down, waiting for it to turn off, and then turn it back on...not good. This happens when it's overclocked and when it's not, so I know it's not the OC.

The OC seems stable...I ran 2 instance of Prime95 over night (one for each core) w/ no errors, temps never rose above 74C on one of the cores, although I'm not sure I really believe CoreTemp is doing a great job at reading the CPU temp (any thoughts on this?).

Anyway, I could really use some help on this...this machine is a beast, I just want it to work perfectly.

Thanks,

MR
