Is it ok to mix 10K and 15K RPM Drives in Raid?

In an ideal situation, the answer is no.

Will they technically work together, yes.
 
Interesting question. I am no expert but I wouldn't think this would be a good idea.

Which RAID btw?
 
I was thinking RAID 5, but it might be 1.

I just didnt know if there was some compatibility issue, this is my first time doing a Raid setup :eek:

I was also wondering, I am currently paying roughly about $25 per drive for FUJITSU 73GB 10K U320 SCSI 80 Pin Hard Drive, is that too much?
 
Well,

I have 4 of those 73gb Fujitsu drives coming, cant wait to see how they fly in RAID 5! Woot :D
