i have tried 3-4 different spyware programs, like spyware s&d and win. defender and 1-2 others. and every time it gets to a certain spot in the scan i get a bsod. it is either the trap cause unknown one or 1 other, i think it was a page fault. cant remember that ones name.the reason for doing the scans to start with is from a ad that keeps popping up about my computer having spyware and it wants you to click these little pop up windows to do a system scan, then i brings up a new window to another spyware alert window. any how i always click the X in the corner to close the windows. and i noticed things are getting slower now. and i cant access most of my favorite websites now. it sticks at the looking for the site screen. and i cant google certain things either. any help would be great.

Try scanning in safe mode?
I was going to suggest pulling the hard drive and scanning the drive from another computer but according to your specs you're running raid 0 so that may be a problem.

Another would be booting to "Safe Mode with Networking" and doing the scan across the network from another machine that has the antivirus and spyware apps you want to use to scan the problem machine.

This would be useful to ensure that the spyware/viruses do not screw up the spyware removal software on a local installation to the problem machine.

You may be getting a BSOD because of hard drive problems. Have you tried to run a chkdsk and verify the health of the drive?

Maybe the scanner is trying to unload a spyware module which was loaded via service or is attached to a vital windows process, try superantispyware while in samfe mode and see what happens

Wait.. so what spyware/av programs are your running? Having multiple AVs or anti-spyware programs running real-time protection usually causes problems.

i get the same bsod in safe mode, i dl'ed anti super spyware and it found everything and now im running at full speed again. and no more annoying pop ups. i would say that the spyware/adware was programed to do that if you used any of those other scanners. just an idea.
