What would be considered "safe" ranges for NB and SB voltages? I seem to have difficulty finding any solid info on these. Specifically on the P35 chipsets.

Also, what is the FSB voltage? This is the first board that I have had that allows for this to be adjusted. So far I have set it the same as my vcore.

I think my lack of knowledge of these are hindering my oc, hence my needing to crank the vcore to get above 3.8.

Thanks

I have no idea what those voltages should be for your specific situation. But what I would do (and do do) is just start low, and up them slowly if needed. Just keep an eye on the temps....(you'll likely have to do this manually...by touch).

Even when you do understand exactly what everything does, you can never know exactly what's going to help. Like every other part of overclocking, it's trial and error.

I'm sure someone could be of at least a little more help than me...if you get no help here, there is another forum that is pretty good for this soft of thing. I'm not sure if this would be considered site pimping, so I'll just say that this is a pretty extreme forum for systems ... *cough*

Your best bet is to just leave those on "auto", a P35 chipset should be good to close to 600fsb on auto settings, after that you may need to bump them. This run below was done with all settings on auto with the exception of vcore and vdimm. This is on an Asus P5K "vanilla" board.
