Post Your Mac Setup!

Sure, I appreciate it. I have a Dual 2GHz G5 with 2 x 20" Apple LCDs at my office. It is my real video editing system, and it has lasted me 4-5 years with not 1 problem.

Not a bad machine to be "stuck" with :p congrats on the purchase :)

Hehehe, totally agree, hence 'stuck' being in quotes :D

and on topic CANiSLAYu ur setup is freaking sweet one of these days ill be with the big boys...

Thanks. Never thought I'd have a Mac in any way shape or form, let alone make such an investment on a workstation like this. Used to be the DIY OCing type in high school & college and would "never be caught dead" with a Mac or paying top dollar for speed (as money is tight when you're a student). I stopped gaming though and building systems and tinkering around with them was just no longer appealing. So paying for the bells and whistles is the new option, haha.

All of these setups.. I just creamed my pants a lil. I need to get me another 24" monitor to add to my 24" iMac!

how do you like the bestskinsever?

it appears to just be a cheaper invisible shield.

id be extremely interested b/c for that price I could easily cover my (future) MBP at nearly half the cost of the invisible shield.

could you PM me w/ your opinions and maybe some more photos?

my BSE cover(s) are great. they provide great scratch protection for my $2500 machine and it gives the aluminum finish a sweet, glossy look.

My desk is under the periodic table. I'm extending my desktop onto a Dell 1908WFP. The computer living in the bay station of that desk is an old celeron XP 'fileserver' (i.e. just a load of drives that are shared out across the network).

My girlfriend's desk, right in front of the window, has my 'old' Dell m1210 with a set of crappy Logitech speakers. The printer is a samsung 2510 that is shared across the network.

Not too many, actually. I bought the 22 (monitor 1) for $250 on sale, the 17 on the left (#2) I bought about 3 years ago for $300, 17 on the right (#3) was free from work (they thought it was a dead backlight, just a loose connector).

My bedroom setup. Just 2.1 on the speakers, tried 7.1 for awhile, just wasnt worth in when in bed/sitting at my computer. Have an aging Paradigm/Integra system in my basement, but it still has a 61" Hitachi SD RPTV... Gonna take a big (expensive) HDTV to take its place, so waiting on that. Still sounds goo though!

Anyway.

Intel iMac Core Duo 2.0Ghz | 2.0Gb RAM | ATI X1600 256Mb | SimpleTech 500Gb external HDD for all my HDBits goodness!

Pioneer VSX-D711 powering 2 Polk RT3 bookshelfs and a Yamaha YST-SW80 sub (behind desk).

O and XBMC FTMFW!

O I wont touch any other mouse. After receiving this DA as a gift, i will never go back. Almost bought the Razer mouse pad, but this rocketfish one was right beside it and half the price at BB. Logitech's feel ridiculously cheap, and dont even get me started on the mighty mouse... what a piece of.......
