Digsby is of course a Multi Protocol IM client but it also supports the usage of E-mail and Social Networking. Below is part of the feature list, to see more and download visit http://www.digsby.com/

It's closed beta, so use any of these codes to get it to install.

IM
- AIM
- Google Talk
- ICQ
- Jabber
- MSN
- Yahoo

Social Networks
- Facebook
- MySpace

Email/Webmail
- gmail
- Yahoo mail
- Hotmail/Livemail
- AOL Mail
- POP
- IMAP

I've used Gaim/Pidgin and Trillian before but this out performs both of those.
No video/audio yet but it's on the list of things to be implemented.
I haven't gotten file transfers with AIM working, could be on my side. I included a screenshot of the prog in action.

I have used miranda since ICQ decided to overbloat and put advertisements in their client and I wanted to use other networks too.

Their website has been down for 4 days though :-/

I tried trillian and gaim. Just didn't fulfill my expectations. Not enough options and they just didn't feel natural.

Will look at this one though. Always interested in any improvement.

AVG says it has a Trojan. Refused to let Firefox even download it.

Disabled scanner, downloaded file, ran AVG on it, again, sees as Virus.

This is a virus?

edit: k well its not a virus. But why doesnt MSN network work. yikes program uses 50mbs :(

Yeah, it definitely looks nice at least. I still have YIM/AIM/MSN all opened at the same time, so a little consolidating can't hurt. I'll have to give it a try.

can someone else confirm this? I'd like to know before I give it a try

The download is safe, but I can't create an account to setup the program :(

I guess everyone in the beta used every AMDbuilder version they could think about using? I know I wouldn't mind giving it a try if it would let me register.

AMDbuilder

NOD32 doesn't flag this as a virus at all...

Couldn't register, either (either username or email is registered already- no matter what I try using).

I think Trillian is bloated having to use 5MB of RAM (It still completely locks up my system... on every machine I've ever used it on, when it starts up as well).
If this uses 50MB, not a good thing for me.

I do like the fact this is a jabber IM as well. Been looking for something to replace the bloated mess known as Spark while still having the same featureset.

This is possibly off topic but is there anything...or is it even possible...that supports all the standard aim/msn/yahoo/jabber and also has x-fire support?

BlackJack988: there are no chat clients other than Xfire itself that support the xfire protocols.
