Crossfire with old mobo?

of course, they will be in an 8/8 configuration though.

Yeah, Crossfire will work on that board. Instead of the slots running at 16x16 bandwidth like on the newer X38 boards, they'll run at 8x8. The performance difference between the two is minimal though. It should work great.

Running 2x3870s in crossfire - d975xbx - vista x64 - cat 8.2 -- Works great. Playing mostly CoD4 MP - 1920x1080 - graphics options maxed - 4/16 aa/af -- fps pretty much constant 60 fps (lcd refresh). Have tested/played with Bioshock. Witcher, fear pm, lost planet, call of juarez, time shift, hl, portal.

Thanks for the reply guys! Good to confirm it will indeed work. I'm not too worried about the 8x8 configuration, should be sufficient. :D

How well does Crysis play with that setup? (1920x1200, all high settings)... are you able to do 2x or 4x aa?

Crysis is still ... a disappoint for me. A various points in the game, the cards goes back and forth between the 2d/3d mode. At steady 3d speeds, 2x aa @ 1920x1080 around 25 fps. At 2d speeds, or when the clocks are "toggling" between 2 and 3d speeds, unplayable.
