Finally got around to cutting a hole for the power wires today.

What is that case? A Lian-Li 7BII? I have a similar looking case that didn't come with pre-cut holes for me to do proper wire management so I am looking at where I am going to need to cut some myself.

Looks just like an Asus. I really wanted to get an Asus Silent Knight II and make a copper interior PC, but I ditched the idea when I saw the review on that HS. It costs more than a 120 extreme, and cools nowhere near as well. Oh well, one day Thermalright will make a blingy HS, nobody else can seem to get it right.

i got it because it was huge...and now wishing i had not. Im going the water cooling route, hence the new wire management.

lian li pc6/7 series are my favorite cases to wire. a quick hole like the one you've cut allows awesome management:

with a little bit of work you can cut a hole out of the motherboard tray and run that 20/24p connector through the hole you made and out from behind the board.

best of luck!!

can i get some specs on your water system and where you mounted the pump/res and harddrives?

pump: aquaxtreme 50z
radiators: black ice pro x2
gpu: maze 4
cpu: aquaxtreme something
res: performance-pc's 120mm fan res

res is external.. the pump is mounted inside the optical drive bay (right above that green pcb), hard drives are right below that pcb (the blue zalman holders)

Hey khanable, just curious, what's that PCB underneath the drive bay for?

I cut a hole in my pc60 up top and it made all the difference in the world. I reversed the hard drives to hide the cables and had to get the Raptor X showing.

I am giving this case up though, just ordered a LL A17B. Looks like they wisened up and pre-cut the hole for me!

Can make out the hole at the top. I cut it with a ~2.5in hole saw.

so the cables can be run at the back of the mobo? can u guys take pics of ur wires running at the back of the mobo please

mine are running through the right side of the case(windowless side). if i take off the panel...i might not be able to get it back on :-P

Are you doing a completely internal system or external rad? I ask because the 80mm fans aren't that great for watercooling. You could probably hide the pump in the unused 3.5 bays though.

The wire management is good though :D

i luv the that case all of your work is very clean. g0d iM so jealous
