So let's just assume that every port on my internet connection is closed besides 80.

What's the best way for me to be able to host files for my friends to download right off of my computer? I'm kind of stumped, I can't figure out how to get other people to be able to connect to my pc.

Your post is borderline security circumvention.

If they are small files try using AIM or MSN Messenger.

hamachi probably would work

but comeon this is an easy topic to research, im sure if you googled "ways to share files online" you would have been faster then your first post.

ftp is easy for everyone

if you cant access the router to enable port forwarding your freinds cant hit your PC from outside your network. you need to set up a FTP and set up port forwarding in your router. If you arent hosting a web site then odds are all inbound ports are being blocked.

Aim transfer FTW.

Haha, I know what your going through. My dad's satelite internet has this problem. They must block ports in the NOC or something. Even connectly directly to the modem, I can't download from limewire or anything. It sucks. And now, they have a limit thingy where he only has so much bandwidth a day.
