hot card b4 riva loads....

Is there a solution to this?

When I first boot (into XP) and DO NOT SIGN IN...my video card is noticably hot...

After I log in, my card temps are VERY hot and then riva kicks in and cools it back down...

IOW, riva won't work till someone signs in....so does the card just sit there with default 29% fan and jump to mid 70's?

Not sure I phrased this correctly....

Basically riva won't work till a windows profile loads....

So if you turn on your box, not sign in...my card temp shoots up higher than I want...until I sign in, and the startup riva profile pushes it back down....

Is there a fix through BIOS or something?

Bios editing is definitely possible if done right ..but risky. You could hose your card...
