Wow, that 4 DVI outs is pretty schweet.
Two gripes:

1) fans dump heat back into case
2) that big metal thing near the mounting bracket that says "dual" is ugly as sin.

it's cool to see them releasing a non-reference board right off the bat though!
 
I like the "EXTRA GPU!" sticker.
Makes it seem like it's a free toy they chose to throw in like they do in cereal boxes.

Wonder how much for that version, asus have an annoying habit of pricing up their cards for some reason.
 
That will heat up your case in a hurry, should i be that worried? I would like to see a vent at the back rather than 2 extra DVI ports.

Good thing the reference board only has 2 DVI ports and a cooler that exhausts the heat out the back... this is a custom board (can I say duh? :p)

well, you can always buy a reference designed 3870x2 and drop the extra 2 DVI ports. i think two monitors is quite enough, but there are always those XTREME people out there...
 
This would come in handy since I run 2 monitors and I'm planning on getting a Wacom Cintiq 12WX. I would need and extra port for that bad boy.
 
Looks very nice, rather have the ref design though for better cooling, Wish they made a ref design in black instead of red :)
