EVGA 680i SLI - P32 BIOS Released (45nm support)

Just loaded the new BIOS, and everything running fine. All ready for the new chip.

Ditto. Should be arriving soon. I'd be curious to see some OC results on the e8400 when people start getting their chips in.

I'd really like to see some similar setup differences in the overclockability of the 680i compared to the 780i and see if that extra 90 bucks or so was worth it for dual cores.

780i is essentially the same as a 680i, my guess is OCing capabilities are approximately the same.

do you think P32 is worth flashing to if we are running stable with P31 and have no intention of migrating to wolfdale or yorkfield?

i thought yorkfield wouldnt even be supported on 680i anyway

If it ain't broke....don't fix it. Only wolfdale is supported with the BIOS update, only 780i supports both yorky and wolfy.

I'm unstable right now with the p31 bios with an e6400. I might just flash anyway even though it probably won't do anything. Surely it couldn't hurt.

The 780i SLI should overclock better. It is a revised design and the yields on the north bridges and south bridges on the new boards should allow for higher overclocks.

Again I doubt it. I'd bet that the 780i SLI is better. Especially with quad core CPUs and certainly with 45nm CPUs it should be far better.

I doubt it. As far as I am concerned everything past P28 is shit. The newer BIOS versions cause RAID controller compatibility problems with add in boards and they cause some memory compatibility problems. Many users report that BIOS version P29-P31 are less stable than P28 or earlier were.

Go back to version P28. It worked for me.
