Didn't Nvidia used to have a feature in their drivers to view GPU temperature?

It's not there anymore..running Vista 64 and an 8800GTS watercooled. Wanted to check what it's operating at under load and I'm not seeing a place to do that.

Looked around for 3rd party apps like everest, but those are paid programs...there used to be a way to do this for free ~_~

EDIT: Am I just missing something? It seems like knowing your GPU temp shouldn't be a premium service.

I can't find it in XP either, I don't remember what version I'm running but it's one of the newer 169s'.

I just use Speedfan, it picks up the diode on my 85GT, so I don't worry about it.

Tried Rivatuner, got some kind of error saying it doesn't work with 64 bit systems :/

As sugested, just use Rivatuner, the best tool for OC and monitoring temps of GFZ.
The temppart is now moved to Ntune if i remember correct.

EDIT Rivatuner2.06 is signed and work without any workaround.

HWmonitor should also report GPU temp - not sure if it is Vista compliant though.

Nvidia makes you download nTune now for gpu temps. Latest Rivatuner works just fine for me (Vista Premium x64).

Yes, temp. monitoring used to be included in their ForceWare drivers for their video cards. They took the temp. monitoring out and made it a separate application (NTune).

Ntune causes a BSOD whenever I try to run it. It's the only app that has done that to my new rig! I'll try the new rivatuner later and see if this works! Thanks...

EVEREST Ultimate also supports GPU temperature (as well as whatever other temperatures you care to monitor).

It's been gone for a while. There used to be a way to re-enable it via the registry, but i don't remember how to do it or if it still works.

i leave speedfan open on my desktop to monitor my gpu temps (along with all my other temps)
