Cooler Master RC690 Gallery

this case looks to be really good. I kind of wish i got it. The cosmo is pretty cool too.

I used the Fusion paint. I tested out a piece before actually spraying the case and it was adhering pretty well. After a week it wasn't as easy to scratch.

jonjon0nline-it looks awesome. I'll definitely be doing the same to my case sometime soon.

Not bad...looking to do the same, just have to finish cutting the exhaust ducts out for water cooling.

Also, heres a pretty sweet easy as hell mod that I stole from somebody :D

I did a similar mod. I mounted it with the whole bottom fan bracket and filter to cut down on dust a little more. I also cut the part of the metal bracket that was obstructing the fan. It is a great mod that takes only a few minutes!

I need to clean up my case big time

You can't reach it from behind? I have the same psu and my power connector is in the same spot pretty much and have way more then enough length to reach it (see pics.) Don't know about the fans but I'd probably get at least a couple extra case fans along with the gpu cooler.

And I stole it from you ;) Works great.

Oh man I love this case... I should have pics up this weekend after I finish my build

^^Nice wiring! Man do I wish more MB manufacturers would put SATA ports horizontally mounted on the edge of the board like that!

Yea mine point out towards the side panel... kills my wire management.

Usually they only do it on the higher end models. My IP35-E has standard ones, the IP35 pro has the 90 degree connectors.

Whats the biggest PSU that will fit without having to remove the bottom fan mount/screws?

I'm mostly looking at 800w+ PSUs.

That toughpower 750 fits in there with a decent amount of room to spare. I would take measurements and compare them to the size of the psu you are looking at.

Here is mine.

Need to work on wire management a little bit, but the 4 pin connector barely reaches and it really kills what I can do with it. The only way to get it out of the way would be to extend the wire :(

Finally got my system put together. The case is great for running the cables behind the motherboard tray. It looks so much better being able to run all of the PSU cables to the back since my PSU isn't modular. The damn GeminII makes it a pain to get to the fan headers / 8 pin power connector at the top, not to mention the top-middle motherboard screw. At least it was free :).

because of the angle of that picture when i first glanced at it I thought the geminII was behind the rear fan :p silly optical illusions.

Updated pics of wire management. Made the hole in the mobo tray bigger since about half of it was covered by my psu. Need extensions for the P4 and 24 pin so I can get them out of the way.

This case is to small for future cards right? It can barely fit a 8800 GTX.

?

There's plenty of room for 2 8800ultras in this case. Future generations should not be a problem at all.

Yea, there was on guy who was cramped in a Antec 900 with SLI GTS's and has before and after pictures from switching to the 690, the 690 has alot of room to spare.

Aside from the CM fans that come with this case, what other fans are you guys using? I'm looking for quiet fans to use inside the case. I'm also debating whether or not I should get a fan controller for the fans I plan to buy in the near future.

im running 3 Scythe S-Flex 1200 RPM fans as exhaust, 2 S-Flex 1200RPMs as intakes, and 1 S-Flex 1600RPM on my Thermalright Ultra Extreme, and the loudest fan in my system is the stock fan on my 8800GTS. this thing is dead silent.

Man this case is hard to do cable management if you have a PSU like mine that has a crap load of hook ups. I can't find enough space to wire it all lol. Still a great case though.

Man, I can't wait to get mine on Monday. I plan on keeping the fans where they are, but adding a intake top fan on top of the Scythe and having the Scythe push heat to the rear fan as exhaust....

They just look so pretty.

I just got most the parts for this new build less than 24 hours ago and the 690 was one of the new parts.

Thanks for the link I will order it monday. After I posted I looked back through the thread and I was wondering how you guys got it to reach, and I thought it was somethin that came with your power supplies.

My 8-pin cable wasn't long enough to run through the hole in the top of the case, so I cut part of the fan grill behind the processor off and ran the cable through there since I wasn't using a 80x15mm fan. That gave me enough room to hook up the 8-pin cable before I screwed in the motherboard.

Why don't you turn your PSU upside down so that the wires are closer to the hole? That will give you some more cable length. Your PSU doesn't have a fan on the top so it won't make a difference!

That's what I did, and it works fine.
