Vonage Settles Patent Dispute with Nortel

Vonage has settled yet another patent dispute today. The company claims this is the last of the patent lawsuits.

The contemplated settlement involves a limited cross license to three Nortel and three Vonage patents and will not call for any monetary payments by any party, the company said in a statement.

Its cool to see two companies work things out without one or the other asking for tremendous monetary reimbursement.
 
This is a nice break from the usual "you stole my patent that I filed four years ago and forgot about, now you have to give me free money" lawsuits.
 
it amazes me that the "courts" allow all the huge companies to dog pile on Vonage. Vonage has a great service and it scares them
