So, I have searched the forums and found some very nice answers on mentioned brands of memory. But all of them were very highly recommended by everyone so I just wanna know what would YOU choose if it came down to just these 3 brands?

I'm currently planning to upgrade my ASUS EEEpc memory to 2gb for max experience :) (I know it voids the warrenty but oh well... what can you do right? 512mb isn't enough for us slight gamers and multi-tasks users)

From my experience corsairs were very solid and stable since im using them right now on my main rig. I could have just chose corsair but I also wanted to know what everyone else ideas are on for OCZ and Mushkin. It seems OCZ has fallen behind on memory development from my opinion... but Mushkin has been well known and it seems this brand gives a lot to their users from customer support help to online forum talk to users who are having problems.

Anyways, which brand would you choose out of the 3??

Thanks!

I don't use Mushkin, but out of OCz and Corsair, I would choose Corsair. I have OCz now, but all of my friends rigs I have built either have Corsair or Kingston.

I have OCZ on one PC - It has run for over two years very strong. I have 2 x 2 gig kit of mushkin on my gamer PC - the stuff is excellent - got it when it was over $300 - you can get it now for about 140 on the egg and both are seem to be great stuff.

I just recieved my 2 x 2 gig of gskill - on this PC - my media box - It booted without a hitch and now I am starting to oc the stuff as I type this.

Never owned corsair ram - the psu's are excellent.

I would say you probably won't go wrong with any one of them and their current ram unless you are using a new platform.

I use Crucial a lot for desktop stuff. And other stuff, it really depends. Currently, it doesn't matter much for DDR2, possibly excluding stuff that's totally bargain basement like ADATA or whatever.

I have OCZ in my laptop, no problems. Laptop memory purchases should be even more price oriented since overclocking is not a consideration at all.

I'm considering to go Mushkin just because from the topic a while ago from this forum about how well their company are runned and how helpful they are when it comes down to problems with their products from the users. And besides I like the name "Mushkin" haha sounds cool...

I've yet to have any trouble with them Mushkin either. Really, all the ones you mentioned in the OP are fine.

All things being equal, get the cheap one.

Yeah corsair PSU's are so far the best from my opinion. I got the 520w. Never disappoint me up to today :)

For the prices for all 3 mentioned brands are around $50 except the corsair and OCZ has a $13-$15 mail in rebate. But I HATE rebates, so pointless. So right now i'm determining over corsair and mushkin but i'm leading towards mushkin as I mention on the post a few up's ago :D

I would have to choose corsair since my motherboard is compatible with it.

I like crucial and corsair. I had used ocz but one of the sticks had some errors and I returned it but they didn't have anymore in stock so I just got some corsair memory. I'm sure ocz is still a pretty good company. I just got unlucky on the mem that was shipped to me.

I went out today and grabbed a mushkin 2gb PC2-5300 667mhz 1 stick. Haven't installed it yet as it's 1 am now and I'm to tired to pay attention haha.. so i'll do it tomorrow :)

OCZ is solid. So is G.Skill, Corsair, Mushkin, TEAM Group, Crucial, PQI, Wintec... any number of others. Adata is even fine if you intend to run it at spec -- and nobody's OCing an EEpc so far as I know. It really doesn't matter unless you plan to OC the RAM, in which case some of the G.Skill kits tend to be the best deals.

Mushkin branded PSUs tend to be middle of the road to somewhat poor in quality.

Oh, and Corsair doesn't 'make' the PSUs, they just rebrand Seasonics.

Over the years, I've used Mushkin exclusively in my own machines. The Mushkin Black stuff was so sought after years past... fantastic RAM, insane timings - and this was like 5-6 years ago. Sure the prices were ridiculous, but that was then. I stand by their name and quality as the best RAM I've ever used, with Corsair coming in a close second.

As for power supplies, there is only one "best": PC Power & Cooling. Anyone that says otherwise simply doesn't know shit about 'puters. :D

Zippy, too. Though I don't know why you'd run one, as they tend to be rather loud. Server supplies for the most part.
